A continuous casting mould comprises a mould tube (), a mould jacket () surrounding the mould tube (), a cooling system () within the mould jacket () for cooling the mould tube (), an oscillating lever () supporting the mould tube (). The oscillating lever () is capable of oscillating about a pivoting axis () substantially perpendicular to a casting plane containing the casting axis () for transmitting mechanical oscillations to the mould tube (). An oscillating mould cover () associated with the top end of the mould jacket (). The mould tube () is supported with its upper end by the oscillating mould cover (), and is itself pivotably supported by the oscillating lever () outside of the mould jacket (). A sealing element, e.g. an annular lip seal (), provides sealing between the oscillating mould cover () and the top end of the mould jacket ().

Continuous casting mold with oscillation device

The invention relates to a continuous casting device comprising a support structure (,), a swing lever (,) which is pivotally mounted in the support structure (,) around a first pivotal axis a drive mechanism (,) which is connected to said swing lever (,) and a continuous casting shell (,) which can be impinged upon a cooling medium. A bearing (,) to support the continuous cast shell (,) is pivotally mounted on the swing lever (,) around a second pivotal axis, whereby at least one connection for the cooling medium is integrated into the pivoting bearing (,).

Continuous casting equipment

A discharge control device is presented which includes a variable opening formed between two cylinders with parallel axes. The cylinders are mounted between two symmetrical support blocks having bores and are spaced at a distance equal to the sum of their radii. At least one of the cylinders has an external cut-out which, upon rotation of the two cylinders, defines the variable opening. The cylinders are in the form of discs with an axial thickness wherein the cut-out extends over the whole thickness. The discharge control device controls the flow of molten materials.
