Systems () and methods () for synchronizing operations of processors (). The methods involve: receiving by an electronic circuit () a first request () from a first processor for writing first data () to or reading first data from a first address () in a first data store (), and subsequently a second request () from a second processor for writing second data () to or reading second data from a second address () in a second data store (); comparing values of the first and second addresses to each other and values of the first and second data to each other; and concurrently communicating an asynchronous ready signal () from the electronic circuit to the processors when the values of the addresses and data respectively match each other. The asynchronous ready signal causes operations of the processors to be synchronized in time with each other.

Systems and methods for synchronizing microprocessors while ensuring cross-processor state and data integrity

A method for booting a software operating environment and software applications within a wireless communications system () is provided. The method () includes executing one or more boot manager programs (). The method further includes executing a first stage program code () and a second stage program code () in response to a boot manager program. The method includes loading an operating system () and launching a low level radio function application () in response to a boot manager program. The low level radio function can be an emergency communications application. Subsequent to loading the operating system and launching the low level radio function application, the method further includes loading a middleware () and a core framework () in response to the second stage program code. The method includes loading a device driver software programs in response to the first stage program code. The device driver software programs can be allocated and deallocated upon stated events. A computer program product in a computer readable medium is also provided. A computer processing system for booting a software operating environment and software applications within a wireless communications system is also provided.

Simultaneous dual booting of platforms

Apparatus () for communicating clock correction data between two or more clocked entities () using a standardized clock correction unit or quanta. A source-native pre-scaler () can convert source-native clock correction values to scaled source-native clock correction values. The pre-scaler can perform this conversion by multiplying each source-native clock correction value by a factor N. A source-native divider () can divide an adjusted source-native clock correction value by a value Mto produce a standard quotient and a standard remainder. The standard quotient defines a standard clock correction value. Further, a source-native accumulatorcan accumulate a sum comprised of the scaled source-native clock corrections and the standard remainder produced from the source-native divider. The sum can define the adjusted source-native clock correction value.

Controlling an accumulation of timing errors in a synchronous system

A system and method for accomplishing improved file access within a Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Component Architecture (SCA) system environment is described. A file access class may be added to an existing JTRS SCA system, the added file access class being an instance of a JTRS SCA file access class. Using this system and method, clients requesting access to a file may be allowed to use more direct file access methods, bypassing a JTRS SCA service, if the file of interest is local to the requesting client's environment, e.g. local to the same processor. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

Efficient file interface and method for providing access to files using a JTRS SCA core framework

A technique for decreasing the amount of time needed to turn on a software-defined radio provides an operator of the radio the ability to turn the radio off and subsequently turn the radio on, wherein the radio is turned on much more quickly than a radio not using the herein described technique. The technique places the radio in a suspended state when off and retains selected parameters associated with selected applications and software portions. Preferably, the radio is placed in a low power consumption state concurrently with the suspended state. Thus the radio conserves power, thus increasing battery life. When the operator turns the radio on, the radio is restored to a fully function state utilizing the retained parameters.
