A modular lighting fixture may include an elongate housing having ends and terminating in sidewall edges, an elongate lens having end edge portions and opposite elongate edges forming lens-sealing surfaces, each fitted to a corresponding one of the sidewall edges, a pair of end structures each removably attachable to either end of the housing, such end structures fitted to the lens; and a plurality of gasket seals including an elongate gasket between each elongate edge and its corresponding lens-sealing surface and a gasket between each end of the housing and its corresponding lens end edge portions.

Selectively-extendable modular lighting fixture

A lighting fixture including a housing having sidewalls and lengthwise ends, an elongate lens fitted to the housing with lengthwise end edge portions, a pair of unitary endplates each attachable to either lengthwise end of the housing, each endplate having lens support structure supporting one lengthwise end edge portion of the lens, and each endplate having perimeter surfaces matingly attached to an endcap having a peripheral edge of substantially the same size and contour as the outer surface of the endplate where the endcap and endplate join. Each unitary endplate includes perimeter surfaces matingly attached to a linear bridge, an angular bridge or an endcap having a peripheral edge of substantially the same size and contour as the outer surface of the endplate where the bridge or endcap and endplate join. The endplate support prevents the elongate lens from being pressed inwardly into an interior portion of the lighting fixture.

A modular, linear-type lighting fixture may include an elongate housing having lengthwise ends, and a pair of endplates adapted for sealing attachment to either lengthwise end of the housing, each of the endplates having respective perimeter surfaces adapted for attachment to any one of a bridge adapted for angularly-directable extension of the housing, a bridge adapted for linear extension of the housing, and an endcap. A modular lighting fixture may include first and second elongate housings each having ends, pairs of endplates for being respectively mated with the first and second ends of the first and second elongate housings, the endplates each having a rim, and a bridge adapted for joining one of the endplates of the first elongate housing with one of the endplates of the second elongate housing by sealing cooperation with the respective rims thereof. A lighting fixture may have one or more isolated raceways therein.

Selectively-extendable modular lighting fixture and method

A modular lighting fixture may include a housing having opposite ends, an endplate for fastening to one end of the housing, the endplate having a lens receiving face on a first side and an additional-structure-connecting face on a second side. The second side has an outer perimeter portion and a first peripheral surface, the first peripheral surface being inward of the outer perimeter portion. An additional structure is provided having a second peripheral surface with substantially similar contour as the first peripheral surface on the second side of the endplate. The additional structure is connected to the endplate with the second peripheral surface being proximate to the first peripheral surface of the second side of the endplate. A modular lighting fixture may include first and second elongate housings each having ends, pairs of endplates for being respectively mated with the first and second ends of the first and second elongate housings, the endplates each having a rim, and a bridge adapted for joining one of the endplates of the first elongate housing with one of the endplates of the second elongate housing by sealing cooperation with the respective rims thereof. A lighting fixture may have one or more isolated raceways therein.

A lighting fixture includes a lens frame having a rearmost rear-facing side with an outer perimeter, a baseplate connected to the lens frame, and a water shunt provided at the rearmost rear-facing side near the outer perimeter of the lens frame, the water shunt being structured for restricting water flow directed inwardly of the outer perimeter of the lens frame. A method includes providing a lens frame having a rearmost rear-facing side with an outer perimeter, providing a baseplate connected to the lens frame, and providing a water shunt provided at the rearmost rear-facing side near the outer perimeter of the lens frame, the water shunt being structured for restricting water flow directed inwardly of the outer perimeter of the lens frame.

There is described a multi-configurational, multi-functional electrical lighting fixture for high-abuse application and structured for surface mounting. The fixture includes a lens of U.V. stabilized, high impact-resistant, injection molded polycarbonate plastics, integrally formed with two selective, separate and distinct, high-performance reflector/refractor surface systems carried by the single lens, as separate zonal areas. The first system generates a long and narrow 'throw', and the second system a short and wide 'throw'. A molded, opaque 'eyelid' provides optimum lamp shielding and controls light distribution. The lens surmounts a lens base to which it is secured by means of unique internal, integrally-molded lugs received in cooperating hook-shaped slots. An 0-ring gasket establishes a water-tight seal. Unlocking of the assembly is deterred by means of a single, tamper-resistant screw. The lens base is mounted on a deep casting, with or without an interposed cast aluminum baseplate. Alternatively, the lens base may be mounted directly on the cast aluminum baseplate, without the deep casting, to provide a low-profile fixture structure.

Multi-configured lighting fixture for surface mounting

A lighting fixture for overhead mounting to produce a generally-rectangular, outwardly and downwardly directed light illumination over a broad areal expanse. The fixture includes a pair of back-to-back arranged reflectors depending from a supporting overhead housing and defining arcuate, generally-parabolic sections flaring outwardly horizontally of one another from opposite sides of a lamp of the fixture. A refractor of polymeric organic composition overlying and protectively capping the lamp and the reflectors diffuses, distributes and directs illumination from the lamp, from the parabolic reflectors and from a reflector plate located above the reflectors to provide an expansive, essentially rectangular-beam light pattern of uniform illumination. Physically faceted upper sections constituting flattened areas of the parabolic reflectors enhance the distribution of light to ensure more even illumination patterns and eliminate 'dark' zones.
