A refrigeration system includes a compressor for compressing a refrigerant, a condenser for cooling the refrigerant, an evaporator for heating the refrigerant, and a lubrication system for providing a lubricant mist to a movable component of the compressor. The lubrication system includes an ejector arranged in fluid communication with the compressor and the evaporator, wherein the lubricant mist is carried by the refrigerant to the movable component.

Enhanced method of lubrication for refrigeration compressors

A method of cooling a refrigerant includes providing a condenser () including a condenser shell () that contains a condenser chamber (), a condensing conduit (), and a cooling conduit (); condensing a refrigerant within the condenser chamber () from a vapour phase to a liquid phase by exchanging heat from the refrigerant in the condenser chamber () to a fluid in the condensing conduit (); supplying a first portion of the condensed refrigerant to the cooling conduit () via a first expansion valve () such that the first portion of the refrigerant decreases in pressure and temperature before entering the cooling conduit (); and cooling the refrigerant in the condenser chamber () by exchanging heat from the refrigerant in the condenser chamber () to the first portion of the refrigerant in the cooling conduit ().

Flooded evaporator

A compressor arrangement includes two or more compressors () arranged in a fluidly parallel configuration and a lubricant sump () containing a volume of lubricant operably connected to the two or more compressors. A lubricant sump pressure (P) is greater than a lubricant cavity pressure of each compressor (Pa, Pb, Pc) of the two or more compressors at all operating conditions of the two or more compressors. An equilibrium lubricant line () connects the lubricant sump to the two or more compressors to convey lubricant from the lubricant sump to a lubricant cavity () of each compressor of the two or more compressors.

Oil sump for multi-compressor HVAC and R system

A receiver for a heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration system includes a tube extending along a tube axis from a first receiver end to a second receiver end opposite the first receiver end, and a single receiver port. The receiver port is configured as both a receiver inlet and a receiver outlet. Refrigeration apparatus

A heat exchanger, such as a flooded evaporator, comprises a shell extending along a longitudinal axis (X), an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe, through which respectively enters (F) and exits (F) a refrigerant flow, and a bundle of pipes crossing the shell along the longitudinal axis (X), and comprising a refrigerant flow diffuser provided inside the shell downstream the inlet pipe, the refrigerant flow diffuser extending along the longitudinal axis (X) and comprising openings through which the refrigerant flows. The refrigerant flow diffuser comprises a moving element and a stationary element, the moving element being movable with respect to the stationary element under action of a pressure force (FP) exerted by the refrigerant flow so that the refrigerant flow going through the openings is adjusted and a differential refrigerant pressure between refrigerant pressure downstream (P) and upstream (P) the refrigerant flow diffuser is kept constant.

A heat exchanger arrangement () comprises at least one heat exchanger () including at least one substantially horizontally oriented manifold () forming an upper side of the at least one heat exchanger (), the at least one manifold () having lateral end portions (); and a support structure () including a main portion comprising, at least partially, a metallic material, and manifold support portions () associated to respective lateral end portions () of the at least one manifold ().
