A textile component may include a knitted component with a first knit layer, a second knit layer, and a pocket, where the pocket is located between the first knit layer and the second knit layer. A spacing element may be included, where the spacing element is located within the pocket. An embroidered element on an exterior surface of the first knit layer may be included, where the embroidered element extends through the first knit layer but does not extend through the second knit layer. The textile may also include a cushioning area that is elevated relative to a base portion of the knitted component. An emblem formed by the embroidered element is located within the cushioning area.

Aspects herein are directed toward an upper assembly for an article of footwear that includes a knit element that extends from a throat area to a lower area of the upper assembly along at least a medial side and a lateral side of the upper assembly. The knit element includes a first plurality of aperture groupings. The upper assembly further includes a tongue that extends across the throat area and extends along at least a portion of the medial side and/or the lateral side of the upper assembly to the lower area of the upper assembly. The tongue comprises a second plurality of aperture groupings. The apertures in the second plurality of aperture groupings are axially aligned with at least a portion of the apertures in the first plurality of aperture groupings.

An upper for an article of footwear may include an adjustable tensioning cable and a knitted component. The knitted component may include inlaid strands having exposed portions exposed on the surface of a knit element. A channel for receiving the tensioning cable is formed between the exposed portions and the surface of the knit element, where the tensioning cable extends through the channel.

A textile component may include a knitted component with a first knit layer, a second knit layer, and a pocket, where the pocket is located between the first knit layer and the second knit layer. A spacing element may be included, where the spacing element is located within the pocket. An embroidered element on an exterior surface of the first knit layer may be included, where the embroidered element extends through the first knit layer but does not extend through the second knit layer.

A knitted component may include an adjustable tensioning cable, may form at least a portion of an exterior surface of an upper, and may include at least one knit anchor having a channel for receiving the tensioning cable, where the tensioning cable extends through the channel, and where the channel of the at least one anchor extends along an arc.
