An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of conductive terminals fastened to the insulating housing, and a shielding element surrounding the insulating housing. The insulating housing has at least one docking surface. Each of the plurality of the conductive terminals has an extending portion. A surface of the extending portion of each of the plurality of the conductive terminals forms an insulation layer. The shielding element has a base body. At least one portion of a front surface of the base body protrudes frontward to form at least one sealing board attached to a rear of the at least one docking surface. The insulation layer of the extending portion of each of the plurality of the conductive terminals is exposed to the at least one docking surface, and is adjacent to and projects beyond a front surface of the at least one sealing board.

Electrical connector

A receptacle connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals fastened to the insulating housing, a clamping element and two pairs of reinforcing blocks. A middle of a front surface of the insulating housing is recessed inward to form an insertion space. Two opposite sides of the insulating housing define two clamping grooves. The clamping element has a fixing board fastened to the insulating housing. Two opposite sides of the fixing board are bent frontward to form two clamping arms. Tail ends of the two clamping arms are connected with two clamping portions. The two pairs of reinforcing blocks are fastened in top walls and bottom walls of the two clamping grooves, respectively.

Receptacle connector with improved fastening and clamping components

A waterproof connector includes an insulating housing, a terminal assembly, a cover, a clamping part and a filler. The insulating housing has an inserting chamber, a mounting slot, a plurality of terminal grooves, an installing slot and a pair of clamping slots. The terminal assembly includes a plurality of terminals and a mounting lump molded outside the terminals. The mounting lump is mounted in the mounting slot of the insulating housing. The terminals are mounted in the terminal grooves of the insulating housing. The cover attaches on the bottom face of the insulating housing and the mounting lump. The clamping part is fixed in the installing slot of the insulating housing and tails of the clamping part project inward into the inserting chamber of the insulating housing. The filler is integratedly filled in the installing slot of the insulating housing. The waterproof connector greatly improves the waterproof effect.

Waterproof connector

A card connector includes a first housing, terminals and a second housing. The first housing has a base portion, a front surface of the base portion forms a protruded portion, a rear surface of the base portion forms an extending portion. A front surface of the protruded portion forms an inserting chamber extended to the extending portion. The rear surface of the base portion defines a fixing cavity located below the extending portion. Terminal grooves are defined in a top wall of the fixing cavity and a bottom surface of the extending portion and communicates with the inserting chamber and the fixing cavity. The terminals include first terminals and second terminals integratedly molded in the second housing. The second housing with the first terminals and the second terminals are fixed in the fixing cavity. The first terminals and the second terminals pass through the terminal grooves and extending into the inserting chamber.

Card connector

A water-proof connector includes a housing, a plurality of terminals and a waterproof component. The housing has a base portion, a center of a top face of the base portion defines a cavity, a bottom of the cavity defines a plurality of terminal grooves extending frontward and rearward and penetrating a rear face of the base portion. The plurality of terminals are assembled in the terminal grooves of the housing. The waterproof component includes an insulation cover board, a sealing element. The insulation cover board is assembled in the cavity, the sealing element is secondary molded in a rear end of the cavity of the housing and on a rear end of the insulation cover board.

Water-proof connector

A receptacle connector adapted for soldering with a circuit board and engaging with a plug connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals molded in the insulating housing, at least two first connecting elements, a second connecting element, a first waterproof board, a second waterproof board, and a shielding shell surrounding the insulating housing. The insulating housing has a top wall which defines at least two locating grooves for receiving the first connecting elements therein. The second connecting element has a base plate mounted to a bottom of the bottom wall. The first waterproof board is mounted to a top of the insulating housing. The second waterproof board is mounted under the second connecting element. A top face of the first waterproof board and a bottom face of the second waterproof board are coated with waterproof adhesive material to form a waterproof adhesive layer respectively.

Receptacle connector

An electrical connector includes a dielectric body, a plurality of terminals molded in the dielectric body and an insulating housing. The dielectric body has a base portion, and a tongue portion. A rear end of the tongue portion defines a ring-shaped cavity for receiving a ring-shaped waterproof ring therein. The insulating housing has a top wall, two side walls and a bottom wall interconnected with one another to form an accommodating space thereamong. A ring-shaped blocking wall with an insertion groove formed therein is connected with inner sides of the top wall, the two side walls and the bottom wall. The tongue portion is inserted into a front of the accommodating space through the insertion groove with an outer periphery of the waterproof ring resisting against an inner sidewall of the insertion groove, and a front of the base portion abutting against a rear of the blocking wall.

A watertight connector has a shell, an insulating housing wrapped in the shell, a plurality of terminals mounted into the shell, a fixing element fixed on the shell. A rear of the insulating housing is recess to form a receiving cavity for receiving a fixing block molded with a plurality of terminals, so there is no hole between the terminals and the insulating housing. A fixing element is fixed on the shell to seal openings of the shell for providing excellent waterproof property. So, all the openings of the watertight connector are sealed tightly. Also, the structure of the watertight connector is simple for reducing the production cost.

Watertight connector

A waterproof connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals mounted into the insulating housing, a shell wrapping the insulating housing. The insulating housing has a top wall recessed to form a first through recess having a lower portion with an outer periphery protruded inward for supporting a first sealing plate. The first sealing plate has an outer periphery portion of an upper portion exceeding that of a lower portion thereof. The engagement between the first through recess and the first sealing plate prevent water from going into the insulating housing. A lateral wall is recessed to form a receiving recess. A fixing element fixed in the receiving recess has a damping plate punched outward beyond the lateral wall. The damping plate rests against the lateral slice for stopping the water from permeating into the shell and further spreading into the insulating housing.

A terminal assembly includes a contact terminal having a base board, a driven terminal having a retention portion and an insulating block. Two opposite ends of the base board form a pair of contact portions located at one side of the base board for contacting a corresponding external terminal group. A portion of an edge of the retention portion extends to form an elastic arm. The insulating block is integrated with the contact terminal and the driven terminal by means of a substantial middle portion of the base board and a free end of the elastic arm being integrated in the insulating block. The base board of the contact terminal and the elastic arm of the driven terminal are intersected with and non-contacting with each other.

Terminal assembly and method of manufacturing the same

An audio jack connector has an insulating housing having a passageway. A contacting terminal disposed on a side of the passageway has a holding portion and two contacting pieces slanted toward the same side separatively from two opposite ends of the holding portion. A first fixing terminal arranged on a side of the passageway, adjacent to the contacting terminal, has a first fixing slice. The first fixing slice has a side extended obliquely to form a first contacting piece connecting with one contacting piece. A second fixing terminal placed on an opposite side of the passageway has a second fixing slice, a second contacting piece obliquely connected with the second fixing slice for connecting with the other contacting piece. The contacting pieces are forced to slide on and depart from the first contacting piece and the second contacting piece when the contacting terminal is elastically pushed by the inserted plug.

Audio jack connector

A plug connector connected with a cable has a base and an insertion portion at a front of the base. A terminal is fixed to the base, having a soldering slice connecting with the cable. A first shell is coupled with the insertion portion. A second shell coupled with the base has a lip plate covering a top surface of the base. An edge of the lip plate is extended to form a lateral plate at a front thereof, attached to a side of the base, and a connecting arm at a rear thereof and extending apart from the lateral plate. An opposite edge of the lip plate is extended to form a parcel plate bent around the base to connect the lateral plate. The parcel plate has a support arm extending beneath the connecting arm to form a passageway for allowing the cable to pass therethrough.
