A light detection and ranging system comprises an optical transmitter for beam scanning on a scan region, and receiving reflected light from the scan region; and an optical receiver for directing the reflected light for signal conversion. The optical transmitter includes a beam refractive unit including optical refractive devices, rotatably disposed about a rotation axis, for directing a collimated laser beam from a first optical path towards a direction depending on rotation angles of the optical refractive devices; and a motion unit for actuating relative motion of the optical refractive devices so as to perform beam scanning towards directions on the scan region. The optical receiver includes an off-axis reflective unit, disposed in the first optical path, for directing the reflected light towards a second optical path; and a light detection unit, disposed in the second optical path, for performing signal conversion on the reflected light.

Light detection and ranging system

A laser radar device comprises a laser projecting system and a laser radar detecting system. The laser projecting system comprises a laser diode; and a light source orientation adjustment unit comprising a collimating lens and a Powell lens to modulate the angle at which the first incident laser beam is projected onto an object. The laser radar detecting system comprises at least two laser radar detection units disposed in the horizontal direction and vertical direction of the object, respectively. The laser radar detection units each comprise a wedge-shaped lens, an aspherical lens system and an optical detector. By designing optical parameters of the wedge-shaped lens and stacking the laser radar detection units in the horizontal direction and vertical direction, it is feasible to facilitate overall device manufacturing and processing, meet R&D needs, and adjust an optical system in its entirety easily.

Optical design for modularizing laser radar sensor

An optical wavefront testing system includes a light source, an image capturing unit and a processing unit. The image capturing unit includes a lens array and a sensor module that is configured to detect light rays passing through an optical element and the lens array. The processing unit controls the sensor module to detect the light rays under a plurality exposure conditions for generating a plurality of images each including a plurality of light spots, obtains a plurality of light spot datasets corresponding to the light spots and each including a plurality of pixel coordinate sets and a plurality of pixel values, and obtains wavefront information associated with the light spots based on the light spot datasets of at least two of the images.

Wavefront testing system

A solar concentrator is composed of the cascading of the first light guiding module and a second light guiding module. The solar light is collected and guided simultaneously toward the light propagation destination by the light guiding modules. By cascading the light guiding modules in the direction of guiding, the solar concentrator has thinner thickness than the traditional concentrator and has a zero back focal distance to reduce the assembly cost. The solar concentrator utilizes the optical design concept of coincident image points from both the relay and converging optics such that the optical flux is increased in the cascading light guiding modules while the light propagation direction within the concentrator is maintained.

An exposure-suppressing imaging system has a first optical assembly forming a first image of an object on a focal plane thereof, a beam splitter positioned between the first optical assembly and the focal plane of the first optical assembly; an LCOS reflective light modulator positioned on the focal plane, and selectively and partially altering the reflectivity thereof to reflect the first image back to the beam splitter; a second optical assembly positioned on a side of the beam splitter and receiving the reflected first image to form a second image on a focal plane of the second optical assembly; a light sensor converting the second image into a signal; and a controller receiving the signal computed as a third image, and selectively controlling the reflectivity of the LCOS reflective light modulator according to whether the signal contains information of overexposure on the third image.

Exposure-suppressing imaging system

A tilting angle measuring device includes an optical device, a four-quadrant optical detector and a computing unit. By the optical device, a light beam emitted by the coherent light source is processed into a reference beam and a test beam. The four-quadrant optical detector has four photoelectric converting units arranged in an array for respectively receiving the reference and test beams. The computing unit is electrically connected to the four-quadrant optical detector for computing a tilting angle of the object with respect to a predetermined position according to four intensity values of the test beam.
