Provided is a display apparatus including a display panel, multiple antenna electrodes, a dummy electrode, and multiple feed lines. The display panel has a display area. The antenna electrodes are disposed on the display panel and overlap the display area. The dummy electrode is disposed around the antenna electrodes and overlaps the display area. The dummy electrode is electrically separated from the antenna electrodes, and has multiple dummy wire segments whose extension directions intersect each other. The dummy wire segments have multiple breaks. The feed lines are respectively electrically connected to the antenna electrodes. An antenna module is also provided.

Antenna module and display apparatus

A pixel structure including a substrate, a signal line, a plurality of pixel units and a light blocking pattern layer is provided. The signal line is disposed on the substrate and has opposing first and second sides. Two adjacent pixel units are disposed respectively on the first side and the second side of the signal line. Each pixel units includes an active device, a common electrode, an insulating layer, and a pixel electrode. The insulating layer is located on the common electrode. The pixel electrode is located on the insulating layer and is electrically connected to the active device. The pixel electrode includes an edge strip electrode and a plurality of extension electrodes. The extension electrodes respectively extend from the edge strip electrode toward the signal line. The light blocking pattern layer is located between two adjacent pixel units, and the light blocking pattern layer and the signal line overlap with each other.

Pixel structure

A liquid crystal display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of first regions and a plurality of second regions. The first regions and the second regions are formed on the first substrate and the second substrate. In a narrow viewing mode, the luminous flux of the first regions along a first viewing direction is different from that of the first regions along a second viewing direction opposite to the first viewing direction, and the luminous flux of the second regions along the first viewing direction is substantially different from that of the first regions along the first viewing direction.

Liquid crystal display panel

A pixel unit includes a gate line, a first data line, a second data line, a first active device, and a pixel electrode. The first active device is electrically connected to the gate line and the first or second data line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the first active device. The pixel electrode includes a first sub-pixel electrode, a second sub-pixel electrode, and a first connecting electrode. Each of the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode includes a trunk electrode, a traverse trunk electrode, and branch electrodes. The first connecting electrode connects the first sub-pixel electrode to the second sub-pixel electrode.

Pixel unit and display panel

A liquid crystal display panel includes first substrate, active switching device, patterned insulating layer, pixel electrode, auxiliary electrode, second substrate, common electrode and liquid crystal molecules. The patterned insulating layer is disposed on the first substrate and includes a plurality of inner insulating branches and slits, and each slit is located between two adjacent inner insulating branches. The pixel electrode is disposed on the patterned insulating layer and electrically connected to the active switching device. The periphery of the pixel electrode overlaps the inner insulating branches. The auxiliary electrode is disposed on the first substrate and at least partially surrounding the pixel electrode. The auxiliary electrode and the pixel electrode are not electrically connected, and the inner insulating branches partially overlap the auxiliary electrode in a vertical projection direction. The common electrode is disposed on the second substrate. The liquid crystal molecules are interposed between the first and second substrates.

Liquid crystal display panel and liquid crystal alignment method thereof

A pixel structure includes a substrate, an opposite substrate, a scan line and a data line, an active device, a pixel electrode, and a passivation layer. The pixel electrode has at least one block-shaped electrode and a plurality of first branch electrodes. The passivation layer has at least one block-shaped protrusion pattern, a plurality of branch protrusion patterns, and a plurality of grooves. The first branch electrodes are located on the block-shaped protrusion patterns. An Edge of the block-shaped electrodes further extends to the block-shaped protrusion patterns. An orthogonal projection gap Wis between an orthogonal projection edge of the block-shaped electrode and an orthogonal projection edge of the nearest first branch electrode, and 0 &#x3bc;m&#x3c;W&#x2266;5 &#x3bc;m. An orthogonal projection distance Wis between the orthogonal projection edge of the block-shaped electrode and an orthogonal projection edge of the block-shaped protrusion pattern, and 0 &#x3bc;m&#x3c;W&#x2266;10 &#x3bc;m.

A display panel includes pixel structures. Each pixel structure includes an active device, a pixel electrode, and a protective layer. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device, wherein the pixel electrode has at least one block-shaped electrode. The protective layer is located below the pixel electrode and includes a recess main portion and recess branched portions. The width of the recess main portion is greater than 0 &#x3bc;m and equal to or less than 4 &#x3bc;m, and the recess branched portions are extended along at least four directions. The pixel electrode covers the recess main portion and the recess branched portions. The display panel includes at least one polarizer, wherein the direction of an adsorption axis of the polarizer is different from the four directions of extension of the recess branched portions.

Display panel

A liquid crystal display panel divided into a first and a second regions respectively having a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in array is provided. Each sub-pixel has a first display area providing a first main alignment vector, a second display area providing a second main alignment vector, and a compensation display area. A direction of the first main alignment vector is opposite to that of the second main alignment vector. When the liquid crystal display panel states in the narrow viewing angle display mode, driving voltages of the first display areas in the first region are substantially greater than driving voltages of the second display areas in the first region, driving voltages of the first display areas in the second region are smaller than driving voltages of the second display areas in the second region, and all the compensation display areas in the first and the second regions are enabled.

An image correction method and an image correction device are provided. The image correction method includes the following steps: obtaining a gray level value of a pixel in an image and a frequency domain value of the gray level value; determining whether the frequency domain value is smaller than a first threshold; performing an adaptive gamma correction procedure on the gray level value according to the frequency domain value and outputting the result if the frequency domain value is smaller than the first threshold; outputting the gray level value directly if the frequency domain value is not smaller than the first threshold.

Image correction method and image correction device

A pixel structure includes a patterned insulating layer and a patterned electrode layer. The patterned insulating layer includes a first area and a second area, and the patterned electrode layer includes a third layer and a fourth layer. The first area has a plurality of bar-shaped structures, the third area is a block electrode, and the fourth area is composed of a plurality of first bar-shaped electrodes. The third area is disposed opposite to the first area such that the third area is protruded according to the bar-shaped structures thereby forming a plurality of second bar-shaped electrodes. The fourth area is disposed opposite to the second area such that the first bar-shaped electrodes are formed on the second area.

A display apparatus includes a display panel disposed between a first polarizer and a second polarizer and having at least one first area and at least one second area. A first light-transmission axis direction of the first polarizer is substantially perpendicular to a second light-transmission axis direction of the second polarizer. The first light-transmission axis direction intersects a horizontal axis direction by about 45 degrees. When the display panel is in a narrow viewing angle display mode, the first and second areas have different brightness in a side viewing angle direction but have the same brightness in and around a normal viewing angle direction. When the display panel is in a wide viewing angle display mode, the first and second areas have substantially the same brightness in various viewing angle directions.

Display apparatus

Disclosed herein is a display device with an adjustable viewing angle. The display device at least includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel adjacent to the first sub-pixel. When the display device is operated in a wide viewing angle mode, the first and second sub-pixels each have an on-axis brightness at a predetermined gray level. When the display device is operated in a narrow viewing angle mode, the first and second sub-pixels respectively have a on-axis brightness at a first gray level and a second on-axis brightness at a second gray level. The on-axis brightness at the first gray level is substantially less than the on-axis brightness at the predetermined gray level of the first sub-pixel.
