A sheet size detecting mechanism includes a sheet guiding module, a sensing module and a control unit. The sensing module includes a contact element and a circuit board. The circuit board includes a first conducting part, a second conducting part and plural fixed resistors. The first conducting part includes plural conductive segments. The plural conductive segments are connected with the corresponding fixed resistors, respectively. While the sheet guiding module is moved relative to the sheet input tray, the contact element is moved with the sheet guiding module. When the electric connection between a first conductive segment and the second conducting part is established through the contact element, the corresponding fixed resistor provides a resistance value, and the circuit board issues a sensing signal according to the resistance value. The control unit acquires the size of the paper sheet according to the sensing signal.

Sheet size detecting mechanism

A paper size detection module includes a position sensing assembly and a sliding block assembly. The position sensing assembly is installed on a bottom side of a paper supporting plate. The position sensing assembly includes a carrier plate, a sensing circuit board and plural elastomers. The first ends of the elastomers are connected with the sensing circuit board. The second ends of the elastomers are protruded out of the carrier plate and have corresponding pressed surfaces. The sliding block assembly includes a paper positioning block and at least one roller. The paper positioning block is installed on the paper supporting plate. The roller is connected with the paper positioning block and rolled along the carrier plate. When a position of the pressed surface rolled and pressed by the roller is detected, the sensing circuit board generates a paper size signal.

Paper size detection module

A paper inverting device includes a first sensor, a second sensor, a guiding structure, a power mechanism, and a controller. The power mechanism is used for driving rotation of the guiding structure. The first sensor is used for detecting the position of the paper. The second sensor is used for detecting the thickness of the paper. According to the sensing signals from the first sensor and the second sensor, the controller may determine the timing of rotating the guiding structure and the rotating direction and the rotating angle of the guiding structure. Consequently, the guiding structure may be controlled to stop the paper and further invert the paper.

Paper inverting device

A paper tray includes a first plate and an extension mechanism. The first plate includes a receiving space and a guiding groove. The extension mechanism includes a second plate, a paper stopper, and an elastic element. When the extension mechanism is moved to a first position in a direction opposite to the first plate and the paper stopper is rotated relative to the second plate in a first direction, the elastic element is pushed by an end of the paper stopper. Consequently, the elastic element generates an elastic potential energy. When the paper stopper is rotated relative to the second plate in a second direction, the elastic potential energy drives movement of the elastic element in a direction facing the first plate, so that the second plate is moved to a second position and the extension mechanism is automatically restored to the receiving space.

Paper tray

An automatic document feeder includes a feeder casing, a pressing structure, a guiding notch, plural first guiding ribs and plural second guiding ribs. The pressing structure is disposed on a bottom part of the feeder casing. The guiding notch is formed in the pressing structure. The first guiding ribs are arranged downstream of the guiding notch. The second guiding ribs are arranged beside the first guiding ribs. The height of the first guiding rib is smaller than the height of the second guiding rib. The lower first guiding ribs are used for guiding a thicker paper. The higher second guiding ribs are used for guiding a thinner paper.

Automatic document feeder

A sheet stopping structure includes a sheet pick-up arm, a sheet guide casing and a sheet stopper. A receiving recess is formed in the sheet guide casing. Two sliding slots are respectively formed in two sidewalls of the receiving recess. The sheet stopper is installed in the receiving recess, and movable along the two sliding slots. When the sheet pick-up arm is in a standby position, the sheet stopper is maintained in an upright status and protruded outside the surface of the sheet guide casing. When the sheet pick-up arm is lowered to a sheet pick-up position, the sheet stopper is rotated and then stopped down within the receiving recess.

Sheet stopping structure

A sheet-feeding scanning apparatus having a business card feeding mechanism is provided. The sheet-feeding scanning apparatus includes a scanning module, an ordinary document input tray, an ordinary document pick-up roller assembly, a transfer channel, a plurality of transfer rollers, an ejecting tray, an ejecting roller assembly, a business card input tray, and a business card pick-up roller assembly. The business card input tray includes a business card support plate, a spring, a separation slice and a position-limiting glide slot. The business card pick-up roller assembly includes a business card pick-up roller, a business card separation roller and a shaft rod. The shaft rod is sheathed by the business card separation roller. The sheet-feeding scanning apparatus is adapted for scanning images of multiple ordinary documents or multiple business cards.

Sheet-feeding scanning apparatus having mechanism for feeding business card

A sheet-feeding type scanning apparatus and an automatic sheet feeding method are provided. The sheet-feeding type scanning apparatus includes a scanning module, a first sheet input tray, a first sheet pick-up roller assembly, a sheet ejecting tray, a sheet transfer channel, a plurality of transfer roller assemblies, a sheet ejecting roller assembly, a sheet-feeding sensor and a clutch module. Once a first sheet article of multiple sheet articles placed on the first sheet input tray are fed into the internal portion of the sheet-feeding type scanning apparatus to trigger the sheet-feeding sensor, the clutch module is disabled. At this moment, a second sheet article placed on the first sheet input tray fails to be fed by the first sheet pick-up roller assembly. Therefore, the double feeding problem is solved.

Sheet-feeding type scanning apparatus and automatic sheet feeding method

A sheet-feeding scanning apparatus having a business card feeding mechanism is provided. The sheet-feeding scanning apparatus includes a scanning module, an ordinary document input tray, an ordinary document pick-up roller assembly, an ejecting tray, a transfer channel, a plurality of transfer rollers, a business card input tray, and a business card pick-up roller assembly. The business card input tray has a business card support plate. In a case that a jam event occurs, the business card support plate may be swung for facilitating removing the jammed business card.

A solenoid valve and an automatic document feeder using the solenoid valve are provided. The solenoid valve includes a valve body, a valve spindle, a spring, a ring-shaped groove and muffling ring. The ring-shaped groove is sheathed around the valve spindle. The muffling ring is disposed within the ring-shaped groove. When the valve body is magnetized to magnetically attract the valve spindle, the valve spindle is moved within the valve body, and the muffling ring collides with the recess inner wall, thereby reducing collision noise.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet releasing mechanism, a casing, a sheet feeding channel, a sheet pick-up module and a driving shaft. The sheet releasing mechanism includes a control lever and a base. The control lever includes a protruding part. The base includes a first restriction groove and a second restriction groove. When the protruding part is accommodated within the first restriction groove, the sheet releasing mechanism is in a sheet-holding status. When the protruding part is accommodated within the second restriction groove, the sheet releasing mechanism is in a sheet-releasing status.

Sheet feeding apparatus with sheet releasing mechanism

The present invention relates to a sheet-feeding scanning apparatus having a business card feeding mechanism. The sheet-feeding scanning apparatus is adapted for scanning an image of an ordinary document or a business card. The sheet-feeding scanning apparatus includes a scanning module, an ordinary document input tray, an ordinary document pick-up roller assembly, an ejecting tray, a first channel, a second channel, a transfer roller assembly, a business card input tray and a business card pick-up roller assembly. The business card feeding mechanism can provide a relatively flat feeding and scanning channel for the business card such that the bending degree of the business card during transportation is reduced.
