A liquid crystal display has position-adjustable light sources. The light sources may be lamps, LEDs, or other emissive components. The light sources, however, are movable to adjust the locations or positions of their light outputs. The light sources ride upon electromagnet carriers. When currents are applied to the electromagnet carriers, each electromagnet carrier creates a corresponding magnetic field. The magnetic fields cause neighboring electromagnet carriers to attract or to repel, depending on the magnitude/polarity of the currents. The lateral and vertical positions of the electromagnet carriers may thus be adjusted by varying their respective currents and magnetic fields. Because the light sources ride on the electromagnet carriers, the light sources may be moved to refine an image generated by the liquid crystal display. The light sources, for example, may be moved to improve white/black contracts to reduce halo-effects.

Position-adjustable backlight

An information handling system may include an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display layer of a video display to display an image to a user; an A-cover forming a housing behind the OLED display layer; and a physically bifurcated display daughter board between the OLED display layer and the A-cover, the physically bifurcated display daughter board including: a first portion of the display daughter board including a source driver integrated circuit (IC) operatively coupled to a processor to receive graphics data; and a second portion of the display daughter board comprising a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) operatively coupled to the first portion and a power source; the second portion of the display daughter board being mechanically coupled to an interior surface of the A-cover to dissipate heat away from the OLED display layer.

Display assembly with gradient tethered design for an ultrathin portable information handling system

An electronic device includes a base, a cover and a hinge module. The hinge module includes a hinge assembly, a support component, and an elastic component. The hinge assembly is pivoted to the base and the cover. The hinge assembly has a push portion and a rotating shaft portion. The push portion is connected to the base, and the rotating shaft portion is connected to the cover and is rotatably connected to the push portion. The support component is movably connected to the rotating shaft portion and leans against the push portion. The elastic component is connected between the rotating shaft portion and the support component. When the cover is unfolded relative to the base, the push portion pushes the support component to drive the elastic component to be extended, so that a support end of the support component protrudes from the cover.

Each blade plate includes a plurality of fan blades and a folding portion. The folding portion is connected to one end of each fan blade. A lifting device is applied to an input assembly, and includes: a base, a supporting base, and a connecting rod mechanism, where the base bears the input assembly and includes a lower protruding portion; the supporting base is movably disposed corresponding to the base and includes a base portion and a notch, and the notch is disposed corresponding to the lower protruding portion; the connecting rod mechanism includes an output rod and an input rod, where the output rod is connected to the supporting base; the input rod is linked with the output rod, and drives the output rod to move, so that the supporting base moves relative to the base, and when movement of the supporting base makes the lower protruding portion move from the notch to the base portion, the base ascends by a height.

An electronic device includes a first body, a second body, and a palm component. One end of the first body comprises a supporting portion. The second body is pivotally connected to a first side of the supporting portion and comprises a sliding portion. The palm component is pivotally connected to a second side of the supporting portion and comprises a guiding portion. The sliding portion is movably connected to the guiding portion. When the first body is pivotally rotated and expended relative to the second body, the second body is driven to make the sliding portion move along the guiding portion, and the second side of the supporting portion rotates relative to the first end of the supporting portion to make the palm component protrude from the second body. A tilt angle is formed between the second body and the protruding palm component.

Electronic device

A power management and control module adapted for a liquid crystal display device includes a boost-type DC/DC topology circuit, a LED dimming control circuit and a multiplexer. The boost-type DC/DC topology circuit has a voltage output terminal electrically connected with a logic high power supply terminal of a gate driving circuit and a power supply terminal of a LED backlight source. The LED dimming control circuit is electrically connected with the LED backlight source for dimming operation. A first and second data input terminals of the multiplexer are electrically connected to the voltage output terminal through a first and second feedback networks respectively. The LED backlight source is electrically connected in the second feedback network. A data output terminal of the multiplexer is electrically connected to the boost-type DC/DC topology circuit and alternatively communicated with the first or second data input terminal to provide a feedback input voltage.

Power management and control module and liquid crystal display device

A display driving circuit includes a timing controller, agate driving circuit, a control unit, a boost converter and a level shifter. The timing controller functions to provide a first start pulse. The level shifter generates a second start pulse by level shifting the first start pulse. The gate driving circuit includes a plurality of shift registers coupled in series and is driven by the second start pulse and the level shifter so as to generate gate signals. The control unit uses the second start pulse and a gate signal generated by a kth shift register to switch a high working voltage provided to the level shifter by the boost converter to a suitable range for driving the gate driving circuit.

Backlight modules. A backlight module for a flat display device includes a light guide element and a fluorescent lamp assembly. The fluorescent lamp assembly disposed on a first side of the light guide element includes a first fluorescent lamp and a second fluorescent lamp. The first fluorescent lamp comprises a first end, a second end and a first phosphor coating on an inner surface of the first fluorescent lamp, wherein the first phosphor near the first end is thicker than the second end. The second fluorescent lamp comprises a third end adjacent to the second end, a fourth end adjacent to the first end, and a second phosphor coating on an inner surface of the second fluorescent lamp, wherein the second phosphor near the third end is thicker than the fourth end.
