A device and method for diffusing volatile substances which obtains the energy required for the autonomous operation thereof from one or more photovoltaic cells. The activation periods and switch-on frequency of the emission means are determined adaptively by an electronic controller depending on the light conditions, thereby maximizing the time in which the device diffuses the volatile substance without compromising its autonomy.

A device for releasing volatile substances comprising a container containing the volatile substances located in a fixed position, and means for generating an air flow in order to release the volatile substances, the means for generating an air flow comprising a movable body, the movement of which generates the air flow; at least one magnet arranged on said movable body; and means for generating magnetic flux, the actuation of which causes the displacement of the movable body by means of the repulsion force between said at least one magnet in the movable body and the magnetic flux. The device enables energy consumption to be improved by using magnetically assisted periodic low-consumption actuation.

A three-dimensional imaging apparatusfor generating an image of a three-dimensional objectis disclosed. The 3D-imaging apparatushas two setsof reflective elements, an image-capturing deviceand a processor. The image-capturing deviceis for capturing two images using rays emitted from the objectand reflected from each of the two setsof reflective elements. The processor is arranged to identify a plurality of sets of matching points in the respective captured images, each set of the matching points having been generated by the respective rays emitted by a single corresponding element of the object. For each set of the matching points identified in the respective captured images, the processor is arranged to determine a location of the corresponding element of the object. Thus, a three-dimensional image of the objectcan be generated by the processor using the determined locations of a plurality of elements of the object. A method of generating a three-dimensional image of an object is also disclosed.

A plurality of source data frames is input into a processor. The plurality of source data frames is sectioned into a plurality of sections which are mapped to form a plurality of pre-distort images. The plurality of pre-distort images is compensated for variations in the degree of saturation (Diffraction Efficiency) to reduce ghosting and compressed to form a plurality of holographic elements, which are recorded onto a holographic recording medium to form a holographic stereogram.
