A head-mounted display, tap input signal generating method, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium thereof are provided. The method determines whether a plurality of fingers conform to a contact mode corresponding to an entity plane based on a plurality of real-time images including the fingers of a user and an inertial sensing data. The method generates a target finger trajectory based on the real-time images and the inertial sensing data in response to the fingers conforming to the contact mode corresponding to the entity plane. The method generates a tap input signal corresponding to the fingers based on a target input type and the target finger trajectory.

The device determines at a first time point that a single-channel electromyography signal in a first time interval is in a non-neutral state or a neutral state. In response to the single-channel electromyography signal in the first time interval being in the non-neutral state, the device recognizes a gesture of a user at the first time point based on a plurality of inertial measurement parameters.

Based on a plurality of real-time images, the head-mounted display determines whether a first finger among the plurality of fingers corresponds to a tapping pattern. The head-mounted display determines whether a sensing signal received from a wearable device matches a tapping gesture of the first finger in response to having the first finger among the fingers corresponding to the tapping pattern. The head-mounted display generates a tapping input signal corresponding to the first finger in response to the sensing signal matching the tapping gesture of the first finger.

A system and a method for remotely controlling extended reality by a virtual mouse are provided. The system includes a head mounted display and a first remote controller for being worn on a hand. The head mounted display includes an image capture device. The first remote controller communicatively connects to the head mounted display, wherein the head mounted display is configured to: capture an image through the image capture device; detect the image to obtain first data of the hand in the image and second data of a plane in the image; and enable the virtual mouse according to the first data and the second data.
