A management method for a cutting tool of a machine tool is provided. A user host imports a graphical data of a workpiece and a cutting tool database into CAM, and a user may select cutting tools to establish a complete machining process. T codes are replaced with electronic tags. Before executing a machine code comprising the electronic tags, the machine tool re-scans the cutting tools assembled at a tool turret and updates cutting tool arrangement information to ensure that the tool turret is equipped with the cutting tools used in the machining process. When the machine tool stores the electronic tags, a ready message is displayed for reminding an operator. When the electronic tags are not stored, the current storage location of a cutting tool lacked in the machining process or a warning message is displayed at the operation interface for reminding the operator.

Management method for cutting tool of machine tool

A method for predicting collision of a machining path includes: a step of reading an NC program; a step of translating a plurality of block information in the NC program; a step of, prior to perform interpolation upon each of the plurality of block information, calculating a safety distance of a next block information with respect to a block information to be interpolated; a step of searching a number of individual block information having an accumulated distance greater than or equal to the safety distance; and a step of performing an anti-collision detection upon each of the individual block information contributing the accumulated distance. The reader is configured for reading at least one category parameter of the tool according to a tool index code of the tool. An apparatus for electrical discharge machining modulation control includes an EDM module, an open-circuit voltage modulation module, a reference-voltage modulation and judgment module, a database, and a control unit. The control unit selects a reference voltage, and an open-circuit voltage corresponding to characteristics of a workpiece from the database, and generates and transmits a second control signal to the open-circuit voltage modulation module for modulating the open-circuit voltage, and a third control signal to the reference-voltage modulation and judgment module for modulating the reference voltage utilized to determine if the ignition happened. The open-circuit voltage modulation module receives a first control signal periodically transmitted from the control unit for providing the open-circuit voltage to the EDM module. The reference-voltage modulation and judgment module performs an arc voltage measurement procedure, then the control unit determines the open-circuit voltage and the reference voltage.

Apparatus and method for electrical discharge machining modulation control

A self-adjusting power device for high efficiency electrical discharge machining and method thereof is disclosed. A high-voltage arc unit and a low-voltage discharge unit provide a high voltage arc pulse and a low voltage discharge pulse to an electrode respectively. The electrode machines a workpiece and feeds back a gap voltage to a discharge pulse generation unit. The discharge pulse generation unit determines whether the gap voltage is lower than a predetermined voltage or not. If yes, a discharge channel between the electrode and the workpiece is conducted, and the discharge pulse generation unit shuts down the high-voltage arc unit and the low-voltage discharge unit is still operating at ON time and shuts down at OFF time. If no, looping the determination of the discharge pulse generation unit. Therefore, discharge machining energy is accurately controlled and high efficient power saving is achieved.

A method and a system, for offsetting measurement of machine tool, includes following steps. A tool seat is chosen, a first coordinate is set based on a first datum mark of the tool seat. There is a total tool seat assembling length in between the first datum mark and the tool seat. A tool is chosen, assembled in the tool seat, and includes a total tool length. A second coordinate is set based on a second datum mark of a measuring unit. The tool seat is moved to make a machining end of the tool contact with the second coordinate to obtain a relative total length in between the first and the second coordinate. The total tool length subtracts from the relative total length equals an assembled offset length. The total tool seat assembling length subtracts from the relative total length equals and obtains a tool assembling length.

System and method for offsetting measurement of machine tool

An electrochemical discharge machining device includes a base, a sensor disposed on the base, a shaft rotatably disposed on the base, an electrode disposed at one end of the shaft and contacting with a work piece, an isolating element disposed between the sensor and the shaft, and a control module connected to the sensor. Current flows to the electrode via the shaft to machine the work piece, and the force exerted on the electrode by the work piece is transmitted via the shaft and the isolating element to the sensor converting the force into a signal sent to the control module for raising or lowering the base to maintain contact between the electrode and the work piece. The sensor serves as a detecting mechanism to ensure appropriate contact between the electrode and the work piece.

Electrochemical discharge machining device

A method for detecting and compensating electrode wear of electric discharge machining (EDM) is disclosed, which comprises the steps of: defining a calibration node; calculating a wear length of a tool electrode by an edge-finding algorithm; using the calculated wear length of the tool electrode as a cut compensation for compensating a machining depth of next new tool electrode replacing the previously machined tool electrode; whereas the machining depth is obtained according to the following formula: the machining depth=designed depth of cut+predicted wear of the tool electrode for machining to desire depth&#x2212;calculated wear length of the previously machined tool electrode+a through hole offset. With the aforesaid method, the wear of an used tool electrode can be detected automatically for compensating the machining depth of an unused tool electrode without ant additional equipment while achieving accurate machining.

By the design of aforementioned structure, the wire supplied by the wire supply mechanism first passes through the bottom of the (electric conductor)element, and enters the arch-slide from the wire entrance and exits the same from the wire exit, and passes again through the bottom of another (electric conductor)element. In this way, the wire is subject to a minute downward suppressing force so that the wire can travel smoothly inside the arch-slide of the wire guide.
