A depth image generation apparatus is disclosed including a light source for generating light to be emitted toward an object in order to solve an SNR problem caused by resolution degradation and an insufficient amount of received light, while not increasing a light-emitting amount when photographing a remote object; a first optical system for emitting a dot pattern at the object, the light generated by the light source; an image sensor for receiving light reflected from the object and converting the light into an electrical signal; an image processor for acquiring depth data through the electrical signal; and a control unit connected to the light source, the first optical system, the image sensor and the image processor, where the control unit controls the first optical system so as to scan the object by moving the dot pattern in a preset pattern.

Apparatus and method for generating three-dimensional image using optical system directing light in a dot pattern

The present invention provides a depth image generation apparatus comprising: a light source for generating light to be emitted toward an object in order to solve an SNR problem caused by resolution degradation and an insufficient amount of received light, while not increasing the amount of emitted light when photographing a remote object; a first optical system for emitting, as a dot pattern and at the object, the light generated by the light source; an image sensor receiving the light reflected by the object, so as to convert the received light into an electrical signal; an image processor for acquiring depth data through the electrical signal; and a control unit connected to the light source, the first optical system, the image sensor and the image processor, wherein the control unit controls the first optical system so as to scan the object by moving the dot pattern in a preset pattern.

Apparatus and method for generating three-dimensional image

A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display including an active area for displaying an image and a black matrix adjacent to the active area, and an optical sheet attached onto the display. The optical sheet includes a Fresnel pattern formed on the black matrix and a portion of the active area. The Fresnel pattern includes a plurality of peaks and a plurality of valleys, which are formed such that depths between the peaks and the valleys gradually increase from the active area to the black matrix. Therefore, it is possible to view an image in front of the black matrix, on which an image is not actually displayed.

Display apparatus

An image display apparatus includes a display, a signal processing device spaced apart from the display to transmit power and a video signal to the display, a plurality of cables configured to transmit power and the video signal from the signal processing device, and an optical sheet attached to the cables. The optical sheet includes a Fresnel pattern formed on the plurality of cables and transparent partition walls formed between the plurality of cables. The Fresnel pattern includes a plurality of peaks and valleys and differences in depth between the peaks and the valleys are decreased from the cables to the transparent partition walls. Therefore, the cables provided between the display and the signal processing device appear transparent.

According to an embodiment, a light generating device comprising: a first layer; light source devices disposed on the first layer and configured to emit light; a reflection layer disposed on the first layer and configured to reflect the light emitted from the light source devices; a second layer covering the light source devices and the reflection layer; a diffusion layer disposed on the second layer and configured to diffuse the light emitted from the light source devices; and an auxiliary layer having light shielding members placed between the second layer and the diffusion layer, the auxiliary layer being separated from the second layer so as to create an air space between a surface of the second layer and surfaces of the light shielding members, the air space extending along the light source devices.
