A display apparatus includes: a first substrate and a display unit. The display unit includes a display region and a transmissive region. The display unit further includes: an auxiliary layer disposed in correspondence with the transmissive region; and a second electrode disposed in correspondence with the display region and at least a portion of the transmissive region. The auxiliary layer includes a first material, the second electrode includes a second material, and the first material and the second material each satisfy Equation 1 below: <Equation 1> ST2−ST1>0 mJ/m, wherein, in Equation 1, ST1 is a surface energy of the first material at 25° C., and ST2 is a surface energy of the second material at 25° C.

Display apparatus having a transmissive region with auxiliary layer

A display device includes a support member including a through-hole, a polymer film disposed above a support member, a display panel disposed above a polymer film, a protective layer disposed above a display panel, and an electronic module. The polymer film includes a protrusion portion protruding toward the support member. A display device may include a pixel area and a transmission area adjacent to the pixel area, a circuit element disposed in the pixel area and including a transistor and a capacitor, a pixel electrode layer disposed in the pixel area and electrically connected to the circuit element, an emission layer disposed on the pixel electrode layer, an opposite electrode layer disposed on the emission layer, and a surface energy control layer disposed between the emission layer and the opposite electrode layer and including a perfluorinated material. The surface energy control layer may have a portion extending into the transmission area.
