The present disclosure relates to a flexible display device, and according to an aspect of the present disclosure, a flexible display device includes a display panel including a folding area and a non-folding area; a back plate which is disposed below the display panel and supports the display panel; and a bottom plate which is disposed below the back plate and includes a plurality of grooves so as to correspond to the folding area, and a plurality of nano helix structures disposed so as to correspond to the plurality of grooves. Therefore, the flexible display device forms a groove pattern in the bottom plate, and includes a nano helix structure in each of the plurality of grooves, to effectively relieve the folding stress and reduce the visibility of the pattern, finally an appearance quality may be improved.

A cover window includes a first layer having a first modulus, a second layer disposed on the first layer and having a second modulus smaller than the first modulus, and a third layer disposed on the second layer and having a third modulus equal to or larger than the first modulus, and in which the third layer includes a nanoparticle-polyurethane complex in which polyurethane is bonded with nanoparticles by a covalent bond. Therefore, the cover window of the present disclosure provides effects that the folding and rolling are possible with excellent surface characteristic and the restorability against the pressing and excellent optical property. By forming a transparent electrode of nanowires resistant to stress of bending on a substrate formed of a shape memory polymer (SMP) material, an increase in resistance due to bending can be prevented and the original form can be recovered. The method for fabricating a substrate having a transparent electrode for a flexible display includes: applying a nanowire dispersion solution of methanol to a glass substrate to form a nanowire electrode; coating the glass substrate with the nanowire electrode formed thereon, with an acrylic shape memory polymer (SMP) to form an SMP thin film; curing the SMP thin film through UV irradiation to form an SMP substrate; and removing the glass substrate from the SMP substrate.
