An electronic device and a control method for the electronic device are provided, and relate to the field of wireless charging technologies, to improve compatibility of a power receiving terminal device in wireless charging with a power transmitting terminal device by improving ASK communication quality. The electronic device includes a device circuit (), a voltage conversion circuit (), a rectifier circuit (), a resonant circuit (), and a modulation circuit (). The resonant circuit () includes a resonant inductor (L) and a resonant capacitor control circuit (ci) connected in series to the resonant inductor (L). The excitation coil generates a magnetic field based on the high-frequency alternating current voltage. The n first resonance coils are arranged in different directions and conducts the magnetic field, and the controller monitors power statuses of the first resonance coils, and enable or disable the first resonance coils based on the power statuses.
