A method for the computer-aided determination of a control variable using context information from one or more units to be controlled is described. This method involves a controller using simulation to ascertain a piece of simulated context information which is used as a control variable, wherein the simulated context information comprises a first variable which represents a presumed state of the one or more units at a given time. The controller compares a received piece of context information, which comprises a second variable which represents the actual state of the unit to be controlled at a time which is before the given time, with the simulated context information and checks whether the simulated context information matches the context information within prescribed limits. In addition, the controller requests a piece of updated context information from one or more units to be controlled if the simulated context information matches the context information at the given time outside the present limits.

In order to be able to flexibly and dynamically control the selection of an access network to be used by a mobile terminal, an assembly contains a cellular network which is provided with a core network and several access networks for connecting mobile terminals to the core network, and at least one mobile terminal. A simple and efficient means of checking the registration authorization is proposed by the method and the device for checking the registration authorization prior to the start of the re-registration process based on a registration query from a mobile radio terminal to at least one access device for an intra-domain handover in a mobile communication network. In the network, a token which has been sent by an access device to a mobile radio terminal and has been stored in at least one trust table of at least one access device, is received by at least one further access device during a registration query from a mobile radio terminal and compared with tokens stored in at least one trust table prior to the start of the registration for the purpose of verifying the registration authorization, and the registration is started if an authorization is present.
