Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may attempt, for up to a threshold quantity of transmission opportunities of a plurality of transmission opportunities of a channel occupancy time in a transmission opportunity aggregation deployment, a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure; and selectively transmit, based at least in part on the LBT procedure being successful within the threshold quantity of transmission opportunities, one or more repetitions of an uplink transmission in one or more remaining transmission opportunities of the plurality of transmission opportunities, or determine, based at least in part on the LBT procedure not being successful within the threshold quantity of transmission opportunities, that a failure of the uplink transmission has occurred. Contiguous uplink transmission in contention-based access systems

A base station (BS) may cancel an uplink transmission that was previously scheduled for a user equipment (UE). For example, after scheduling a first UE for an uplink transmission on a particular resource, a BS may elect to schedule a second UE with higher priority traffic on at least a portion of that same resource. In this case, the BS may send an uplink cancelation indication (UL CI) to instruct the first UE to cancel its transmission. In some examples, for uplink transmissions on unlicensed radio frequency spectrum where an interlace structure and resource block (RB) sets are used for frequency-domain resource allocation, an UL CI may indicate interlace and/or RB set parameters for the frequency domain

Uplink cancelation indication

This disclosure provides systems and methods, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for managing control channel monitoring. In an aspect, a mobile device may receive a wakeup signal including an indication of one or more groups of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space sets. The mobile device may determine one or more PDCCH monitoring times based on the indication of the one or more groups of PDCCH search space sets. The mobile device may monitor the PDCCH during the determined one or more PDCCH monitoring times. In another aspect, a network element may configure two or more groups of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space sets among the plurality of mobile devices and transmit a wakeup signal indicating to the plurality of mobile devices which of the two groups of PDCCH search space sets to which each mobile device of the plurality of mobile devices belongs.

Managing control channel monitoring

Aspects of the present disclosure provide for managing random access channel (RACH) procedures in wireless communication systems. In some examples, a UE includes a processor, a transceiver communicatively coupled to the processor and configured to communicate with a scheduling entity in the wireless communication network, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to receive a signal from a base station at the beginning of a fixed frame period during a two-step random access procedure, determine whether a resource for a transmission occasion overlaps one or more symbols located at an edge of the fixed frame period, and discard the resource for the transmission occasion at the UE when the resource overlaps the one or more symbols located at the edge of the fixed frame period.

PUSCH validation for frame-based equipment

Aspects relate to mechanisms for a wireless communication device to configure and indicate sidelink control information (SCI) for sidelink communication within a slot over a sidelink channel. The SCI can include first stage SCI (SCI-1), second stage SCI (SCI-2), and third stage SCI (SCI-3). The SCI-1 may be transmitted within a control region of the slot, whereas the SCI-2 and the SCI-3 may be transmitted within a data region of the slot. The SCI-2 may include information for decoding SCI-3, including, for example, a resource size, modulation order, and rate-matching behavior of the SCI-3. The sidelink communication can further include sidelink data traffic that may be communicated in the data region of the slot.

Third stage sidelink control information design

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for sending, from an upper layer at a transmitting device to a lower layer at the transmitting device, an indication by which the lower layer determines that a packet is to be transmitted as either an initial transmission or as a retransmission. The lower layer at the transmitting device may then determine a transmission process for transmitting the packet based on the indication, and the transmitting device may transmit the packet in accordance with the transmission process. Because the lower layer may identify whether the packet is to be transmitted as either the initial transmission or the retransmission, the lower layer may adapt the transmission process to improve the chances that the packet is received by a receiving device or to limit overhead.

Assistance signaling for radio link control retransmissions

Wireless communications systems and methods related to wireless communications in a system are provided. A first wireless communication device may communicate with a second wireless communication device in a listen-before-talk (LBT) bandwidth of a set of LBT bandwidths, downlink control information (DCI). The DCI may indicate acquisition of a channel occupancy time (COT) in a fixed frame period (FFP) across the set of LBT bandwidths and/or a starting point of the FFP in the respective LBT bandwidth. The first wireless communication device may communicate with the second wireless communication device, a communication in at least one LBT bandwidth of the set of LBT bandwidths during the respective COT.

Downlink control information (DCI) transmission in multiple listen-before-talk (LBT) bandwidths

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for handling scenarios where a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition is scheduled as a single symbol. According to certain aspects, a user equipment (UE) is configured to detect that a nominal physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition is to be segmented into one or more actual PUSCH repetitions that include a single symbol actual PUSCH repetition and take one or more actions to handle a symbol length gap in transmission due to the single symbol actual PUSCH repetition.

Handling of orphan symbols in shared spectrum

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to signaling in frame-based equipment (FBE) mode for channel occupancy time (COT) sharing. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, in association with an FBE mode, a message associated with a designation of the UE for either COT sharing or non-COT sharing. The UE may detect whether there is an initial signal at a boundary of a time frame for COT and sleep, monitor, or communicate during the time frame, based at least in part on the designation and the detecting. Signaling for channel occupancy time sharing in frame based equipment mode

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may determine that that the first UE is scheduled to transmit a control signal and a synchronization signal associated with a synchronization signal block. The first UE may transmit, to a second UE during a first set of symbols within a time period, the control signal associated with a sidelink communication. In some examples, the first UE may transmit, to the second UE during a symbol subsequent to the first set of symbols, the synchronization signal associated with the synchronization signal block, and may communicate with the second UE according to the transmitted control signal and the transmitted synchronization signal.

Techniques for synchronization signal block waveform design for sidelink communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device such as a UE or a base station may implement one or more listen before talk (LBT) techniques. The wireless device may determine to transmit a communication during a transmission time interval on multiple subbands of a radio frequency spectrum band. The wireless device may identify whether the transmission time interval is during a channel occupancy time for the base station for a first set of subbands of the multiple subbands. The wireless device may perform one or more LBT procedures based on the identification. For example, the wireless device may perform an LBT procedure that is selected for each subband based on identifying that the transmission time interval is during the channel occupancy time for the first set of the subbands. The wireless device may transmit the communication based on a result of the LBT procedures.

Listen before talk techniques for wireless communications systems

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may determine, within a channel occupancy time shared with a second UE, one or more contention slot starting times based at least in part on a listen before talk duration and an automatic gain control duration. The first UE may transmit a sidelink communication to the second UE at a starting time selected from one or more of the one or more contention slot starting times. Techniques for UE-to-UE channel occupancy time sharing in unlicensed spectrum

In a probabilistic amplitude shaping (PAS) system, a distribution matching (DM) component may receive a uniform bit sequence with equal probabilities, which may be converted into symbols with a desired probability distribution (e.g., Gaussian). For example, the probability distribution may use inner constellation points associated with a lower energy and/or power more frequently and outer constellation points associated with a higher energy and/or power less frequently. In general, the DM component may map binary bits to positive amplitudes with a non-uniform distribution according to a DM rate that is based at least in part on a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which may vary significantly in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel. Accordingly, some aspects described herein relate to configuring DM parameters and codeword and resource mappings in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel.

Configuration for probabilistic amplitude shaping system on spatial and frequency selective wireless channel

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a base station and/or UE. The apparatus can calculate a number of coded bits based on a number of downlink control information (DCI) information bits. The apparatus can also determine an amount of one or more code blocks (CBs) in DCI based on at least one of the number of coded bits or the number of DCI information bits, each of the one or more CBs including a plurality of the coded bits. Moreover, the apparatus can transmit a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) including the DCI, wherein the DCI includes at least one of the one or more CBs or one or more coded blocks. The apparatus can also encode the one or more CBs in the DCI based on the determined amount of one or more CBs.

Methods and apparatus for DCI transmission over PDSCH
