An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes first and second housings, a memory, an application processor, a communication processor, a Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) connected with the communication processor, and a plurality of antennas each connected with the RFIC through a Radio Frequency Front-End (RFFE) circuit. The communication processor may identify a change in an antenna-related setting for the plurality of antennas, identify frequency band information about a signal being communicated through at least one antenna among the plurality of antennas, in response to the change in the antenna-related setting, identify folding state information between the first housing and the second housing received from the application processor, identify, from the memory, a transmission power-related setting value set corresponding to the identified frequency band information, the folding state information, and an event related to the communication processor, and adjust a power of a transmission signal.

Electronic device and method for controlling power of transmission signal in transformable electronic device

According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: a memory, a communication processor, at least one radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC), and a plurality of antennas each connected with the at least one RFIC. The communication processor may be configured to: identify a change in an antenna-related setting for the plurality of antennas, identify frequency band information corresponding to a signal being communicated through at least one antenna among the plurality of antennas, in response to the change in the antenna-related setting, identify, from the memory, a transmit power-related setting value set corresponding to the identified frequency band information and an event related to the communication processor, and control the electronic device to adjust a power of a transmission signal to be transmitted through at least one antenna among the plurality of antennas based on the identified transmit power-related setting value.

A method of operating an electronic device is provided. The method of operating an electronic device includes determining whether a multi-frequency band connection is established, when a result of the determination is that the multi-frequency band connection is established, identifying a frequency band transmitting control information from among connected multi-frequency bands, acquiring communication state information of the identified frequency band transmitting the control information, determining an antenna mode based on the acquired communication state information, and configuring at least one antenna based on the determined antenna mode.
