A display device includes a substrate including an opening area and a display area at least partially surrounding the opening area; and a metal layer including a first region and a second region adjacent to a non-display area between the opening area and the display area, the first region and the second region are spaced apart from each other, and one of the first region and the second region includes a protrusion extending toward the other of the first region and the second region, and the other of the first region and the second region has a shape to receive the protrusion.

Display device

A display device is disclosed that includes a pixel layer, a touch sensing layer, and a sensing pattern. The pixel layer includes first pixel units, each including first sub-light emitting regions, and second pixel units, each including second sub-light emitting regions. The touch sensing layer includes sensing electrodes, and driving electrodes electrically insulated from the sensing electrodes, at least some of the sensing electrodes and the driving electrodes each includes a dummy pattern defining dummy openings overlapping the first sub-light emitting regions when viewed in a plan view, and a sensing pattern electrically insulated from the dummy pattern and spaced apart from the first sub-light emitting regions and the second sub-light emitting regions when viewed in a plan view. The light blocking pattern is disposed on the touch sensing layer, defining light blocking openings overlapping the first sub-light emitting regions when viewed in a plan view, and overlapping the first pixel units when viewed in a plan view.

An electronic panel includes a base substrate having a first area, a second area adjacent to the first area, and a third area adjacent to the second area, a plurality of sensing electrodes in the second area, a plurality of sensing lines in the third area and electrically connected to the plurality of sensing electrodes, a crack sensing pattern in the first area and spaced apart from the plurality of sensing electrodes, a crack sensing line in the third area and spaced apart from the plurality of sensing lines, and a connection line connecting the crack sensing pattern to the crack sensing line via the second area and including a floating portion, wherein the floating portion is at the same layer as the crack sensing pattern and is spaced apart from the plurality of sensing electrodes.

A display apparatus includes: a substrate including a first area, a second area surrounding the first area and spaced apart from the first area, and a third area between the first area and the second area; a plurality of pixel circuits on the substrate at the second area, each of the plurality of pixel circuits including one or more thin-film transistors, and a storage capacitor; a plurality of lines on the substrate at the third area, and electrically connected to the pixel circuits, respectively; an encapsulation member covering the pixel circuits; an input sensing section on the encapsulation member to overlap with the second area, and including sensing electrodes, and trace lines electrically connected to the sensing electrodes; and a plurality of shielding portions on the encapsulation member to overlap with at least one of the plurality of lines, the plurality of shielding portions being spaced apart from each other.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus including a display panel, an input sensor having an active area having a plurality of electrodes disposed therein and at least a portion of which overlaps the display area, and a non-active area which overlaps the non-display area. The active area has a central area and a peripheral area disposed outward from the central area. The plurality of electrodes include center electrodes which are disposed in the central area and peripheral electrodes which are disposed in the peripheral area and have a surface area less than that of the center electrodes. Each of the center electrodes includes a sensing pattern and a floating pattern, and each of the peripheral electrodes includes substantially only the sensing pattern. Thus, an embodiment of the inventive concept may provide the display apparatus that includes an input sensor having improved sensitivity in a peripheral area.

Display device including an opening area and sensing electrodes

A display device includes: a display panel including a base layer, a circuit layer, a display element layer, and an encapsulation layer, wherein a through-hole passes through the base layer, the circuit layer, the display element layer and the encapsulation layer; a compensation layer disposed on the encapsulation layer, wherein the compensation layer is adjacent to the through-hole; and a crack detection pattern disposed in a groove on a top surface of the compensation layer.
