A multi-layer display device and a method for driving the same are disclosed, in which an image of a front display panel may be displayed without being affected by an image of a rear display panel, and an image of a rear display panel may be displayed without being affected by an image of a front display panel. The multi-layer display device comprises a first display panel; and a second display panel arranged on a rear surface of the first display panel. The second display panel displays a second white image for a time period when the first display panel displays a first source image. The first display panel displays a first white image for a time period when the second display panel displays a second source image.

Multi-layer display device and method for driving the same

Disclosed is a liquid crystal display (LCD) device having a thin thickness. The LCD device includes a liquid crystal display panel and a light source panel coupled to the liquid crystal display panel. Disclosed herein are a display device with a reduced bezel area and a method for fabricating the same. A wiring electrode disposed on a substrate is electrically connected to a connection electrode disposed on an inclined surface of a circuit board in contact with the substrate, and the connection electrode is electrically connected to a circuit wiring disposed on the circuit board. Therefore, an inactive area such as a pad portion for connecting the substrate with the circuit board is not required, such that the bezel area can be reduced.

A stereoscopic image display includes a display panel; a polarization control panel that is positioned on the display panel and controls the polarization direction of light incident from the display panel; a lens panel positioned on the polarization control panel and having a plurality of lens shaping portions; a first driver for driving the display panel; a second driver for supplying a driving voltage to the polarization control panel; a timing controller for controlling the first driver and the second driver; and a sensing unit that senses the driving voltage supplied to the polarization control panel and outputs a decision signal for deciding whether the sensed driving voltage is in normal condition or abnormal condition.

Stereoscopic image display and method of driving the same

A stereoscopic image display and a driving method thereof are discussed. The stereoscopic image display includes a data driving circuit that supplies a data voltage to data lines of a display panel; a gate driving circuit that supplies a gate pulse to gate lines of the display panel; and a timing controller that controls operation timings of the data driving circuit and gate driving circuit. The gate driving circuit delays a rising timing of the gate pulse to a point in time after a rising edge time of the data voltage in a 3D mode for displaying a 3D image on the display panel, under a control of the timing controller.
