An electronic device may include a power management circuit (PMC) configured to charge a battery using a power signal, a processor connected to the PMC, and a memory connected to the processor. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to identify that an internal temperature of the electronic device increases to a first temperature while a current power signal value is a first charging current, configure the current power signal value to a thermal control current lower than the first charging current as the internal temperature increases to the first temperature, identify that the internal temperature decreases to a second temperature while the current power signal value is the thermal control current, and configure the current power signal value to a second charging current lower than the first charging current but higher than the thermal control current as the internal temperature decreases to the second temperature.

An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes: a battery, a wireless power transfer (WPT) coil, wireless power transceiver circuitry, a charging circuit, and a processor electrically connected to the wireless power transceiver circuitry and the charging circuit. The processor implements the method, including: receiving first detecting power from an external electronic device, determining whether a reception voltage generated by the received first detecting power is higher than a first predetermined voltage value, based on detecting that the reception voltage is higher than the first predetermined voltage value, supplying power from the battery to the wireless power transceiver circuitry, outputting via the WPT coil, foreign object detecting power based on the supplied power, and based on detecting an electrical change in the foreign object detecting power caused by presence of a foreign object, determining that an error has occurred.

Various embodiments relating to an electronic device are disclosed, and according to an embodiment, the electronic device may comprise: a plurality of coils; a first power generation circuit electrically connected to at least one of the plurality of coils; a second power generation circuit electrically connected to at least one of the plurality of coils; and a control circuit, wherein when the approach of a second external electronic device is detected while first power is provided to a first external electronic device by using a first frequency via the first power generation circuit, the control circuit allows the frequency of the second power generation circuit to be configured to a second frequency different from a first frequency in order to provide second power to the second external electronic device. Electronic device and multi-wireless transmission power control method based on states of plurality of external electronic devices

According to an embodiment, a wireless power transmitting device may include a transmission coil, a DC/DC converter configured to output a driving voltage, an inverter configured to output AC power to the transmission coil, and a controller. The controller may be configured to output a first control signal for generating the AC power having a first frequency to the inverter, measure a demodulated voltage generated by demodulating a signal applied to the transmission coil, and output, to the inverter, a second control signal for generating the AC power having a second frequency different from the first frequency, based on a first peak-to-peak value identified in the demodulated voltage being a preset first value or more. The inverter may output the AC power having the second frequency to the transmission coil based on the second control signal. Other various embodiments are possible as well.

Disclosed is a power transmission device for wirelessly supplying power to an external electronic device, the power transmission device comprising: a coil configured to transmit a wireless signal to the electronic device based on a transmission power; a power generation circuit configured to supply, to the coil, the transmission power generated based on an input voltage; and a control circuit electrically connected to the coil and the power generation circuit, wherein the control circuit is configured: to receive information about charging power from the electronic device; to determine whether a voltage drop event related to a drop of the internal voltage of the electronic device has occurred, based on the difference between the transmission power and the charging power; and to regulate the level of the input voltage based on results obtained from the determination.

An electronic device according to an embodiment may include: a wireless charging coil; a power transmission circuit configured to be electrically connected to the wireless charging coil; a wireless communication circuit configured to communicate with an external electronic device; and a control circuit. The control circuit may be configured to: transmit power to an external electronic device; obtain data corresponding to power received by the external electronic device in response to the transmitted power using the wireless communication circuit; obtain power loss based on the obtained data; stop transmitting the power to the external electronic device when the power loss exceeds a first threshold; and stop transmitting the power to the external electronic device according to whether an event related the power loss occurs even when the power loss is lower than the first threshold.

Various embodiments related to electronic devices are set forth herein. According to an embodiment, an electronic device comprises a coil, a power transmitting circuit electrically connected with the coil, a sensing circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to wirelessly output, using the power transmitting circuit, a first designated power through the coil to an external electronic device, and identify, using the sensing circuit, first energy detected at the coil due to a foreign object of the electronic device. The control circuit is further configured to, when a magnitude of the energy falls within a first designated range, output, using the power transmitting circuit, a second designated power to the external electronic device, and when the magnitude of the energy falls within a second designated range, abstain from outputting the power to the external electronic device using the power transmitting circuit.
