This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: After receiving a first packet from a first device, a first user plane network element determines a user plane LAN identifier corresponding to the first packet, where the user plane LAN identifier is an identifier that is in a user plane and that is of a LAN group to which the terminal belongs, and one user plane LAN identifier corresponds to one LAN group. That is, a function of the user plane LAN identifier is to isolate user plane packets of different LAN groups. Then, the first user plane network element sends the first packet to a second device based on the user plane LAN identifier and a destination address included in the first packet, so that the first packet sent by one terminal in the LAN group is sent to another terminal in the LAN group.

Communication method and apparatus

A mobility management method and apparatus are provided, to flexibly switch a forwarding path, and ensure service continuity in a movement process of a terminal device. The method includes: A control plane network element determines a changed media access control address MAC address of a first terminal device after the first terminal device moves. Then, the control plane network element determines at least one second terminal device that belongs to a same terminal device group as the first terminal device, where the first terminal device is a terminal device whose address changes after the movement, and the at least one second terminal device is a terminal device other than the first terminal device in the terminal device group. Mobility management method and apparatus

In a communication method, when a terminal device initiates establishment of a session of an Ethernet type, a virtual local area network management function entity in a communications system may determine a virtual local area network identifier of a user group to which the terminal device belongs. In this way, a user plane function entity in the session of the terminal device may allocate a plurality of virtual ports to a virtual local area network whose identifier is the virtual local area network identifier and may broadcast the Ethernet broadcast frame on the plurality of virtual ports.

A group communications method and system, and a device are provided. The method includes: when a first terminal initiates access to a local area network group, obtaining, by a group management function network element, an identifier of a first user plane network element to be accessed by the first terminal, context information of the local area network group, and a first session port identifier; creating, for the local area network group, a rule group applied to a first session port, and creating or updating, for the local area network group based on the context information, a local area network group forwarding action rule (FAR) applied to the first user plane network element; and sending a first message to a session management network element, for configuring the rule group on the first session port, and configuring the local area network group FAR on the first user plane network element.

A session handling method and apparatus, where the method includes: initiating, by a terminal, an application (APP); determining a session type of a packet data unit (PDU) session based on the APP; and sending a first message to an access and mobility management function (AMF) entity, where the first message includes the session type, and the first message is used to request to establish the PDU session of the session type. In the method, a network side can establish the PDU session of the corresponding type based on the session type of the PDU session that is sent by the terminal, in order to establish the PDU session of the correct type for the terminal.

In this method, when a terminal device initiates establishment of a session of an Ethernet type, a virtual local area network management function entity in a communications system may determine a virtual local area network identifier of a user group to which the terminal device belongs. In this way, a user plane function entity in the session of the terminal device may allocate a plurality of virtual ports to a virtual local area network whose identifier is the virtual local area network identifier, and broadcast the Ethernet broadcast frame on the plurality of virtual ports.

This application provides a data transmission method, a communications apparatus, and a session management function entity. The method includes obtaining, by a communications apparatus, a correspondence between a quality of service flow identifier of a service flow and an inter-packet time interval of the service flow. In addition, service continuity in a local network of the UE can still be ensured when the UE is migrated or detached, and an IN-PDN resource that is no longer used is reclaimed in time, thereby avoiding a waste of the IN-PDN resource.
