A method for estimating capacitance applied to a three phase converting device is disclosed. The three phase converting device includes a three phase converter and a processor. The processor executes following steps: (a) outputting a non-baseband signal to the three phase converter, such that a bus voltage of the three phase converter generates a non-baseband flutter; (b) obtaining the bus voltage of the three phase converter; (c) obtaining a bus voltage estimating value based on the bus voltage, a bus capacitance estimating value, an input power, and an output power of the three phase converter; (d) respectively outputting a first AC component and a second AC component corresponding to the non-baseband flutter through filtering the bus voltage and the bus voltage estimating value by a filter segment; (e) estimating a bus capacitance based on the first AC component, the second AC component and a bus capacitance initial value.

A wind power generation system and a control method thereof are provided herein. The wind power generation system includes a doubly-fed generator, a generator-side converter, a grid-side converter and an auxiliary converter. The doubly fed generator includes a stator winding and a rotor winding. The stator winding is coupled to a grid. The generator-side converter is coupled to the rotor winding. The grid-side converter is coupled between the generator-side converter and the grid. The auxiliary converter includes a first side and a second side. The first side is coupled to the stator winding. The second side is coupled between the generator-side converter and the grid-side converter. The generator-side converter, the grid-side converter and the auxiliary converter use the same DC bus.

Wind power generation system including doubly-fed generator and stator-connected auxiliary converter

A wind power converter device is provided. The wind power converter device includes grid side converters, generator side converters and a DC bus module. Each of the grid side converters includes grid side outputs electrically coupled to a grid and a first and a second DC inputs. Each two of the neighboring grid side converters are connected in series at the second and the first DC inputs. Each of the generator side converters includes generator side inputs electrically coupled to a generator device and a first and a second DC outputs. Each two of the neighboring generator side converters are coupled in series at the second and the first DC outputs. The DC bus module is electrically coupled between the grid side converters and the generator side converters.

The present invention provides an excitation control circuit, a control method using the same and an electrically excited wind power system having the same. The excitation control circuit comprises at least one converter and at least one AC/DC conversion module. The converter is located between an AC electric grid and a wind power generator, so as to convert AC power generated by the wind power generator into AC power corresponding to the AC electric grid. The input side of the AC/DC conversion module is electrically connected between the converter and the wind power generator, and the output side is coupled to an excitation device. The AC/DC conversion module is used to convert the AC power from the wind power generator into a DC voltage, and provides an excitation current for the wind power generator using the DC voltage.

A converter system includes a first converter, a second converter, and a first inter-phase transformer. The first converter is electrically connected to the second converter in parallel between a first input terminal parallel end and a first output terminal parallel end. The first inter-phase transformer is disposed at the first input side parallel terminal or the first output side parallel terminal, and the first inter-phase transformer is operable to restrain a circulating current generated by the first converter and the second converter.

The input terminal of the control unit is coupled to a DC capacitor of a converter to detect a DC voltage. The power circuit includes input terminals, an overvoltage protection module, a rectifier module and output terminals. The overvoltage protection module comprises at least one discharge unit formed from a discharge resistor and a switch element, and the rectifier module is coupled in parallel to the overvoltage protection module. When a grid voltage drops, the control unit outputs a corresponding control signal to drive the switch element to be ON or OFF, and the output terminal of the power circuit absorbs a portion of rotor inrush current, so as to impose over-current protection.

A control method of a converter system includes: sampling a current of each three-phase winding to obtain a real-time current of each converter; obtaining a mean current by averaging the real-time current of each secondary converter and the real-time current of the primary converter, and transferring the mean current to each secondary converter; obtaining the differential-mode current corresponding to each secondary converter according to the mean current and the real-time current of each secondary converter; performing a circulation current control on the mean current and the differential-mode current of each secondary converter based on a d-q coordinate system to generate a mean-current conditioning signal and a differential-mode current conditioning signal, thereby controlling each secondary converter; and obtaining a sum of the differential-mode current conditioning signal of the secondary converters and negating the sum to obtain a differential-mode current conditioning signal of the primary converter, thereby controlling the primary converter.

A power compensation apparatus for a renewable energy system includes a plurality of converter modules positioned between any two phases of a three-phase AC electrical grid, each converter module including a plurality of inverter circuits connected in series. Each inverter circuit includes an energy storage unit for providing a direct current (DC) voltage; a capacitor connected to the energy storage unit; and an H-bridge circuit converting the DC voltage into an alternating current (AC) voltage. The converter modules perform reactive power compensation and active power regulation on the electrical grid in a delta connection. A plurality of converter modules are respectively positioned between any two phases of the electrical grid in a delta connection, so as to keep the voltage of the electrical grid continuously stable when the voltage of the electrical grid fluctuates, and also compensate load current when system load is not balanced.
