An organic light-emitting device (OLED) is disclosed. The OLED includes a light-emitting layer, a first electrode, and a second electrode, in which the light-emitting layer is interposed between the first and the second electrodes and includes a first molecular energy level of a host, and a second molecular energy level of a dopant. The first molecular energy level has a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) which is substantially same as the HOMO of the second molecular energy level, or the first molecular energy level has a lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) which is substantially the same as the LUMO of the second molecular energy level.

Organic light-emitting device

In one aspect of the invention, an organic light emitting diode device has a substrate, a cathode formed on the substrate, an anode spaced-apart from the cathode, a plurality of electroluminescent units stacked between the cathode and the anode, and a plurality of charge generation layers, each of which is formed between two adjacent electroluminescent units. Each electroluminescent unit has an electron-transport layer, an emission layer formed on the electron-transport layer, and a hole-transport layer formed on the emission layer. The electron-transport layer of the first electroluminescent unit is formed on the cathode, defining a first energy barrier, and the anode is formed on the hole-transport layer of the last electroluminescent unit, defining a second energy barrier. The first energy barrier is higher than the second energy barrier. The first electroluminescent unit has a lifetime longer than that of each of the rest electroluminescent units.

Organic light emitting diode (OLED) device

An organic electroluminescent light source including a first organic electroluminescent device and a second organic electroluminescent device is provided. The first organic electroluminescent device is coupled to a first bias voltage to emit a first color light having a color temperature ranging from 2800K to 3500K. The second organic electroluminescent device is coupled to a second bias voltage to emit a second color light. The first color light and the second color light mix to generate a third color light having a color temperature ranging from 3500K to 6500K.
