A cooking apparatus includes a cooking plate including a cooking area divided into a plurality of sub-areas; a plurality of induction heating coil groups corresponding to the plurality of sub-areas; a plurality of drive assemblies configured to supply a driving current to each of the plurality of induction heating coil groups; a user interface configured to receive a compartment command that divides the cooking area of the cooking plate into the plurality of sub-areas. The cooking apparatus includes a sub-assembly configured to determine an induction heating coil group corresponding to the sub-area in which a cooking vessel is placed when the compartment command is input; and a controller configured to control a drive assembly to supply a respective driving current to the determined induction heating coil group such that a preset target temperature is distributed to an induction heating coil overlapping the sub-area in which the cooking vessel is placed.

Cooking device and control method therefor

A cooking apparatus and a control method thereof, and more particularly, technology for determining the type of vessel placed in the cooking apparatus and controlling power in response to a state change of the placed vessel or a temperature change of a coil. In accordance with one aspect, a cooking apparatus includes: a coil on which a vessel is placed, configured to form a magnetic field upon application of a current; a detection sensor configured to detect a magnitude of an input current applied differently according to a type of the vessel and a magnitude of an input voltage of the cooking apparatus; and a controller configured to determine a type of the placed vessel according to a power value calculated based on the detected input current and input voltage, and to determine a heating mode of the cooking apparatus based on the determined type of vessel.

Disclosed herein is a cooking apparatus and a control method thereof. The cooking apparatus includes first and second coils arranged in a first column, third and fourth coils arranged in a second column, a plurality of inverters configured to supply a drive current to the first, second third and fourth coils, a plurality of rectifiers configured to supply direct current (DC) power to the plurality of inverters, a plurality of switches configured to connect each of the plurality of rectifiers to any one of a first external power supply and a second external power supply, and a controller configured to control the plurality of switches wherein the first external power supply supplies power to at least one of the first, second, third, and fourth coils and the second external power supply supplies power to at least one of the first, second, third, and fourth coils.

The cooking apparatus includes a cooking plate, a plurality of induction heating coils installed under the cooking plate, a plurality of drivers configured to supply driving power to the plurality of induction heating coils, and a controller configured to control the plurality of drivers to drive a plurality of groups to which the plurality of induction heating coils belong, respectively. Power output by a first driver, among the plurality of drivers, which drives a first group among the plurality of groups may be increased and power output by a second driver, among the plurality of drivers, which drives a second group among the plurality of groups may be decreased.

An induction heating apparatus includes a coil driver configured to have a plurality of selectable resonant frequencies, and a controller configured to control the coil driver. The coil driver drives a coil according to a control signal from the controller.

Induction heating apparatus and controlling method thereof

Disclosed herein is a cooking apparatus including a cooking plate, induction heating coils installed under the cooking plate, a vessel sensor configured to detect a cooking vessel while the cooking vessel is placed on the cooking plate, a driving assembly including a driving circuit configured to generate a driving current and distribute the driving current to each of the induction heating coils, and a sub assembly including a vessel sensing circuit configured to determine one or more of the induction heating coils overlapping the cooking vessel based on an output of the vessel sensor. The sub assembly may be separated from the driving assembly.

Cooking apparatus

A cooking apparatus and a method for controlling the cooking apparatus are provided. The cooking apparatus includes induction heating coils that include a high power burner in which a first heating coil and a second heating coil are concentric. The cooking apparatus includes a low power burner that includes a third heating coil and a fourth heating coil, a power supply unit that includes a first AC power supply unit and a second AC power supply unit which have a different phase from each other, and a coil driving unit that provides power supplied by the first AC power supply unit to the first heating coil, and provides power supplied by the second AC power supply unit to at least one of the second heating coil, the third heating coil, and the fourth heating coil.

Cooking apparatus and method for controlling the same

A cooking apparatus is disclosed. The cooking apparatus includes a capacitance detector and a cookware detection controller. The capacitance detector is configured to detect capacitance using two or more electrodes arranged on one side of each of a plurality of induction heating coils. The cookware detection controller is configured to identify an induction heating coil corresponding to a position where cookware is placed among the plurality of induction heating coils when it is determined that the cookware is placed on a cooking plate based on the capacitance.

Provided is a cooking apparatus including: an induction heating coil that generates a magnetic field heating a cooking container; and an image generating unit that radiates light so that an image is generated on a surface of the cooking container, wherein the image generating unit includes: a plurality of light sources that radiate light toward the cooking container; a light source driving circuit that provides driving currents to the plurality of light sources; and a light-emitting controller that controls the light source driving circuit.

An induction heating apparatus in accordance with the present disclosure includes a coil; an inverter unit configured to have a switching device turned on and off to supply power to the coil; a first controller configured to generate a first threshold current based on information about a coil current flowing in the coil and an input voltage applied to the coil, and generate a clock signal by comparing the coil current with the first threshold current; and a switch driver configured to generate a switch driving signal to turn on or off the switching device of the inverter unit by dividing a frequency of the clock signal.
