An imaging detector is provided that includes a continuous NaI crystal, a glass plate, an array of SiPMs, and an array of concentrators. The continuous NaI crystal defines a reception side and a detection side. The glass plate is disposed on the detection side of the continuous NaI crystal, and is interposed between the detection side of the continuous NaI crystal and the array. The array of concentrators corresponds to the array of SiPMs, and is interposed between the array of SiPMs and the glass plate. Each concentrator has a reception side opening that is larger than a detection side opening, with the detection side opening disposed proximate to a corresponding SiPM.

Systems and methods for nuclear medicine imaging using sodium based crystals

The first branch includes a delay unit and a switch. The second branch includes a sensor unit configured to place the switch in a closed position when a signal received via the input portion satisfies a threshold and to place the switch in an open position when the signal received via the input portion does not satisfy the threshold. The summing portion is configured to receive corresponding regional circuit outputs from the regional circuit portions, and to combine the regional circuit outputs to provide a summed output.

Systems and methods for positron emission tomography signal isolation

A scintillator crystal array includes crystals and a clear film adhesive (CFA) layer. The crystals are configured to receive rays emitted by an object to be imaged and to emit light photons responsive to the rays. The crystals include a first crystal and a second crystal that are spaced apart from one another by a gap. The CFA layer is disposed in the gap between the first and second crystals. The CFA layer is configured to at least partially optically couple the first and second crystals.

Methods and systems are provided for performing cathode calibration in a detector assembly. In one embodiment, a method comprises adjusting a cathode bias of a detector based on a total number of events occurring in the detector during a time period while maintaining an anode bias at a desired value, the events corresponding to photon energy detected by the detector. In this way, an automated cathode calibration procedure may be applied to calibrate the detector assembly.

The at least one processor receives the signals, and is configured to obtain a first count for at least one of the signals corresponding to a first energy window, the first energy window corresponding to values higher than a nominal peak value; obtain a second count for the at least one of the signals corresponding to a second energy window, the second energy window corresponding to values lower than the nominal peak value; obtain at least one auxiliary count for the at least one of the signals corresponding to at least one auxiliary energy window; and adjust a gain applied to the signals based on the first count, the second count, and the at least one auxiliary count.

Each of the plurality of light sensors has a first set of signal traces connected to the microcells and a second set of signal traces connected along the first set of signal traces and together forming a signal path to a summing signal trace. Each of the plurality of light sensors also has a pin-out connected to the summing signal trace.

A method for gain calibration of a gamma ray detector includes measuring signals generated by one or more light sensors of a gamma ray detector, generating one or more derived curves using the measured signals as a function of bias voltage and identifying a transition point in the one or more derived curves. The method also includes determining a breakdown voltage of the one or more light sensors using the identified transition point and setting a bias of the one or more light sensors based on the determined breakdown voltage.

A method of manufacturing a light guide assembly includes the steps of providing a light guide array made of a light-transmissive material and having a top portion and an integral bottom portion supporting the top portion, wherein grooves are formed on a top surface of the top, providing an optical isolation frame of interconnected slats made of an opaque material wherein the slats are arranged and profiled to correspondingly match the grooves in the light guide array, bonding the light guide array and the optical isolation frame to each other, and removing the bottom portion of the light guide array.
