Embodiments of the present invention provide a light guide plate, a backlight module and a display apparatus. The light guide plate includes: a light guide plate body, and a prism structure disposed on a light exit face of the light guide plate body and including a plurality of prisms. The plurality of prisms each have a top farthest from the light exit face of the light guide plate body. A height difference is formed between the tops of the plurality of prisms, and/or the top of at least one of the plurality of prisms has a portion with a part farthest from the light exit face of the light guide plate body, and a height difference is formed between the part and the top of the at least one of the plurality of prisms.

The present disclosure provides a tunable backlight device, a display device and method of driving the display device. The tunable backlight device comprises: at least one backlight apparatus with high color gamut and low luminance; at least one backlight apparatus with low color gamut and high luminance; a storage configured to store a library of current feedback coefficients; a current feedback apparatus, configured to determine a first current feedback coefficient (K) for the backlight apparatus with high color gamut and low luminance and a second current feedback coefficient (K) for the backlight apparatus with low color gamut and high luminance, according to the requirements, respectively; a backlight driving apparatus configured to supply respective currents to both the backlight apparatuses to emit lights, based on the first and the second current feedback coefficients, respectively; and a light guide plate configured to mix the lights emitted from the both backlight apparatuses.

Tunable backlight device, a display device and a method of driving the same

The present disclosure provides a backlight module and a display apparatus. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate, a light source located at one side of the light guide plate at the light incident surface, a lampshade accommodating the light source and being provided with an opening structure with an adjustable size and/or position, and a control device for adjustment of the size and/or position of the opening structure on the lampshade. The amount of light which is irradiated by the backlight module to the light incident surface of the light guide plate may be varied by providing the lampshade which accommodates the light source and disposing the opening structure with an adjustable size and/or position on the lampshade, to achieve an adjustment of the brightness of a display without requiring for adjustment of the current flowing through the light source in the backlight module, thereby causing no impact on the life of the light source.

Disclosed is a backlight module, which includes: a light guide plate having a light incident surface; a light source disposed as facing to the light incident surface and configured for emitting a first wave-band light. The backlight module further includes: a quantum film disposed between the light source and the light guide plate. The quantum film is configured for being excited by the first wave-band light emitted from the light source and emitting a second wave-band light. By disposing the quantum film in the backlight module, the color gamut of LCD is improved.
