A liquid crystal display device is disclosed, which can reduce a unit cost and prevent deterioration of picture quality caused by unfilled pixel cells, the liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal panel including a plurality of pixel cells formed at every regions defined by 'n' gate lines and 'm' data lines, three colors alternatively arranged along the data line direction, and the same colors arranged along the gate line direction; a gate built-in circuit, built-in the liquid crystal panel, for supplying gate-on voltages to the gate lines; and a driving integrated circuit, formed in the liquid crystal panel, for driving the gate built-in circuit, inverting a polarity of video signal in the unit of each data line and at least three gate lines, and supplying the video signal having the inverted polarity to the data lines.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device includes pixel cells that can be dot-inverted by a row-inversion driving scheme. According to an embodiment of the invention, a liquid crystal display device includes a first data line, a second data line, a first gate line, a second gate line, a third gate line, at least three of the sub-pixels arranged immediately adjacent along one of the data lines and corresponding to different colors to form a pixel, and a driving integrated circuit for sequentially driving the first, second and third gate lines in a horizontal period. During the horizontal period, a first signal supplied to a first sub-pixel of the pixel has a polarity opposite from a second signal supplied to a second sub-pixel of the pixel and the same as a third signal supplied to a third sub-pixel of the pixel.

A flat panel display device and a method of driving the same are disclosed, to cut down the cost of driving circuit by decreasing the number of data lines, wherein the flat panel display device comprises a plurality of gate and data lines which are formed on a substrate; an image displaying unit which includes a plurality of pixel cells of which two pixel cells adjacently positioned along the direction of gate line are driven by one data line; a timing controller which aligns source data provided from the external, and generates a control signal and a clock signal; a plurality of data-driving integrated circuits which convert the source data into analog video signals on the basis of the control signal and supply the analog video signals to the data line, and raise and output the clock signal; and a gate-driving circuit which generates scan signals overlapped by each unit corresponding to the half of one horizontal period according to the raised clock signal, and supplies the overlapped scan pulses to the gate lines in sequence.

Driving circuit for liquid crystal display device and method of driving the same

A liquid crystal display includes a transparent conductive layer on an first substrate of a liquid crystal display panel transmitting display light, an insulating layer on the transparent conductive layer, a sensing circuit to generate a touch or non-touch sensing signal based on changes in the amount of surface charge of the transparent conductive layer depending on whether or not the insulating layer is touched, and a driving voltage supply circuit to generate a driving voltage of a high potential for a light sensing operation of a touch sensor circuit only when the touch or non-touch sensing signal indicates that the insulating layer is touched.

Liquid crystal display and method of driving the same

A liquid crystal display (LCD) device and driving method for same is disclosed. The liquid crystal display device included: a plurality of pixel cells formed at pixel regions defined by crossings of a plurality of gate and data lines on a substrate, each pixel cell for displaying one of three colors, wherein the pixel cells are arranged with pixel cells of a single color arranged along the each gate line, and pixel cells of the three colors are alternately arranged along each data line; a gate built-in circuit built on the substrate that sequentially drives the gate lines; and a driving integrated circuit formed on the liquid crystal panel, that drives the gate built-in circuit and that modulates a video signal to be supplied to the data lines in response to an ambient temperature of the liquid crystal panel.
