A refrigerator and a control method for the same are provided. A refrigerator includes a body having a cooling compartment and a storage compartment provided in the cooling compartment to form a predetermined cooling space, a cool air generation compartment having a cooler and a fan to supply cool air, and a partition plate that partitions a predetermined space into the cooling compartment and the cool air generation compartment. The partition plate includes a main path to guide the cool air into the cooling compartment and a bypass path to guide the cool air into the storage compartment. A cool air controller is provided at the bypass path to control the cool air supplied to the storage compartment via the bypass path.

Refrigerator and a control method for the same

An apparatus for storing food is provided that includes a food storage chamber, a cooling device, a scroll-type fan housing with a fan, and a duct that guides cool air from the scroll-type fan housing to the food storage chamber. The scroll-type fan housing may be located to the left or right of the cooling device, and the duct may be located above or below the cooling device and the scroll-type fan housing. Alternatively, the scroll-type fan housing may be located above or below the cooling device, and the duct located on a left or right side of the cooling device and the scroll-type fan housing. These arrangements result in more usable space within the food storage chamber than other conventional arrangements.

A display device, and a blower thereof are disclosed. The display device includes an axial flow fan within a case, which has a display panel encased therein. The axial flow fan is provided in a width direction within the case, so that, while being rotated within the case, the axial flow fan generates forced air flow suitable to the case. The forced air flow is generated in a forward direction along with air flow by natural convection within the case.

Disclosed herein is a blowing apparatus for refrigerators. The blowing apparatus includes a centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan comprises a hub plate connected to a shaft of the motor, a plurality of blades attached to the hub plate in the radial direction of the hub plate for forcing cool air to flow, and a ring-shaped shroud connected to ends of the blades. Consequently, the present invention has the effect that energy consumption is reduced, noise is decreased, and thus the refrigerator is quietly operated.

Disclosed herein is an air-blowing apparatus of a cleaner. The air-blowing apparatus comprises a fan having a plurality of blades spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the fan for generating a blowing force in the centrifugal direction thereof, and a diffuser disposed outside the fan in the radial direction of the fan for diffusing air blown from the fan. Each blade is formed such that at least a part of the blade is shorter than the other part of the blade extending to the outer diameter of the fan, whereby noise is reduced while blowing efficiency is not affected.

The fan comprises a plurality of spaced blades mounted on the outer circumference of a hub for blowing cool air to a freezing chamber and a chilling chamber of the refrigerator. Disclosed herein is a cool air circulating blower for a refrigerator. The blower comprises a blowing fan for blowing cool air, a motor for driving the blowing fan, and a shroud for guiding the cool air leaving the blowing fan. The shroud is designed to suppress generation of turbulence in such a manner that the cool air leaving the blowing fan is dispersed quickly and condensed water obtained by condensation of moisture laden in the cool air is guided to some places other than the motor, whereby the noise caused due to the turbulence is reduced, the power consumption is decreased, the blowing efficiency is improved, and any breakdown of the motor due to the condensed water is prevented.

Disclosed is a blast fan for blowing air in a centrifugal direction thereof. The blast fan comprises a hub coupled to a rotating shaft of a motor, and a plurality of blades equally spaced and arranged around the outer peripheral surface of the hub. More particularly, the blast fan, of axial flow type or diagonal flow type, is configured so that turbo blades are integrally coupled to respective tips or trailing edges of the rotary blades. By achieving an optimal installation angle of the turbo blade, it is possible to achieve an increase in the flow rate and to reduce the level of noise generated.

A cooling air blowing apparatus of a refrigerator includes: a driving motor fixed at a motor mount formed at a rear side of a freezing chamber; a blowing fan mounted on a rotational shaft of the driving motor and configured to blow cooling air in both an axial and a radial direction as the driving motor is driven; and a shroud positioned in a circumferential direction of the blowing fan. The blowing fan includes turbo blades for blowing cooling air in a radial direction in addition to the axial flow blade for blowing cooling air in an axial direction. The cooling air blown in the axial direction is sent to a freezing chamber, while the cooling air blown in the radial direction is sent to the cooling chamber. Thus, the blowing fan with the turbo blades ensures that in a refrigerator having a complicated and long cooling air passage structure, cooling air can be circulated smoothly and quickly.
