A display device includes at least one first and second electrodes extending in a first direction, at least one first and second light emitting elements disposed therebetween, a first contact electrode partially covering the first electrode and contacting a first end of the first light emitting element, a second contact electrode partially covering the second electrode and contacting a third end of the second light emitting element, and a third contact electrode disposed between the first and second contact electrodes and contacting a second end of the first light emitting element and a fourth end of the second light emitting element, in which a distance between the first and second electrodes is greater than a longitudinal length of at least one of the first and second light emitting elements, and the first and second light emitting elements are connected in series between the first and second electrodes.

Display device connecting light emitting elements to first and second contact electrodes via third contact electrode

A display apparatus includes: a substrate including a plurality of pixels; an electrode unit in each of the pixels of the substrate and including: a first electrode having a first outer side having a center of curvature and a curved shape; and a second electrode having a second outer side having a curved shape corresponding to the first outer side and spaced apart from and facing the first electrode; and a plurality of light-emitting elements between the first electrode and the second electrode. The center of curvature of the first electrode is on a peripheral portion of the pixel, and the first outer side of the first electrode faces a center of the pixel.

The bank includes a color bank including a color filter material that blocks light of colors emitted from the first light emitting element, the second light emitting element, and the third light emitting element.

A display device comprises a first electrode, a first insulating layer disposed on the first electrode, a second electrode disposed on the first insulating layer, at least a part of the second electrode facing the first electrode in a first direction, one or more first light-emitting elements disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, the one or more first light-emitting elements extending in a direction, wherein the first insulating layer partially encompasses the outer surface of the one or more first light-emitting element, and the extending direction of at least one of the one or more first light-emitting element is parallel to the first direction.

A display device may include a display area including pixel areas each including an emission area, a non-display area, and a pixel disposed in each of the pixel areas. The pixel may include a first electrode, a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode and surrounding a periphery of the first electrode, a third electrode spaced apart from the second electrode and surrounding a periphery of the second electrode, a fourth electrode spaced apart from the third electrode and surrounding a periphery of the third electrode, light emitting elements disposed between the first to fourth electrodes, and first and second conductive lines disposed under the first to fourth electrodes with an insulating layer disposed therebetween. The first conductive line may be electrically connected to the first electrode, and the second conductive line may be electrically connected to the fourth electrode.

The present application relates to a light emitting device, manufacturing method thereof, and a display device provided therewith. The light emitting device may include: a substrate; a first electrode provided on the substrate, and a second electrode disposed on a plane identical with a plane of the first electrode at a position spaced apart from the first electrode; at least one light emitting element provided on the substrate, and including a first end and a second end with respect to a longitudinal direction; a bridge pattern provided on the light emitting element, and coupled to the second end of the light emitting element; a first contact electrode provided on the substrate, and coupling the first electrode with the first end of the light emitting element; and a second contact electrode provided on the substrate, and coupling the bridge pattern with the second electrode.

Light emitting apparatus, manufacturing method thereof, and display apparatus provided therewith

A light emitting device may include a first electrode disposed on a substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the substrate and overlapping at least a part of the first electrode; a second electrode disposed on the first insulating layer and spaced apart from the first electrode; and at least one light emitting diode electrically connected between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode may be disposed on different layers on the substrate, the first insulating layer is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the first electrode and the second electrode are spaced apart from each other so as not to overlap each other in a plan view.

Light-emitting device with insulating layer between electrodes on different layers

A display device may include a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, and pixels provided on the display area. Each pixel includes sub-pixels each including an emission area and a non-emission area. Each of the sub-pixels may include a display element layer including at least one light emitting element that emits light. The display element layer may include a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from each other with the light emitting element disposed therebetween, connection lines including a first connection line extending in a row direction of the substrate and electrically connected to the first electrode, and a second connection line extending parallel to the first connection line and connected to the second electrode. Two connection lines having a symmetric structure may be disposed in an area between two sub-pixels adjacent to each other in a column direction of the substrate.

A light emitting device includes first and second electrodes disposed on a substrate; an insulating layer disposed on the substrate and including a groove extending in a first direction intersecting with the first and the second electrodes, and first and second contact portions that expose areas of the first and the second electrodes; light emitting elements disposed in the groove between the first and the second electrodes, each including first and second ends electrically connected to the first and second electrodes, respectively; a first contact electrode electrically connected to the light emitting elements on the first ends, and electrically connected to the first electrode on the first contact portion; and a second contact electrode electrically connected to the light emitting elements on the second ends, and electrically connected to the second electrode on the second contact portion.

A light emitting device may include: a substrate including emission areas; a first electrode disposed on the substrate; a second electrode disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from the first electrode; light emitting elements disposed on the substrate, each of the light emitting elements including a first end and a second end in a longitudinal direction of the light emitting elements; a bank disposed in each of the emission areas and including openings in which portions of each of the unit emission areas are exposed; a first contact electrode that electrically connects the first electrode with the first end of each of the light emitting elements; and a second contact electrode that electrically connects the second electrode with the second end of each of the light emitting elements. At least one of the light emitting elements may be disposed in each of the openings.

A display device may include: a substrate including a display area and a non-display area; and pixels disposed on the display area, and each including sub-pixels, each sub-pixel including a pixel circuit layer, and a display element layer including a light emitting element. The display element layer includes first and second electrodes spaced apart from each other; a first insulating layer disposed between the pixel circuit layer and the light emitting element; and a second insulating layer disposed on the light emitting element and filling spaces between the first insulating layer and ends of the light emitting element. A light emitting device includes first and second electrodes disposed on a substrate and spaced apart from each other; at least one light emitting diode disposed between the first and second electrodes; an insulating pattern overlapping an upper portion of the at least one light emitting diode and exposing first and second ends of the at least one light emitting diode; a first contact electrode electrically connecting the first end of the at least one light emitting diode to the first electrode; and a second contact electrode electrically connecting the second end of the at least one light emitting diode to the second electrode. The insulating pattern may completely overlap the first and second ends of the at least one light emitting diode in a plan view, and have a width reducing toward a lower portion of the insulating pattern.

A display device includes a substrate including a display unit including a plurality of pixels and a protrusion protruding from an edge of the display unit, the plurality of pixels including a first pixel on an outermost region of the display unit and a second pixel adjacent to the first pixel; a driver on the protrusion; and a fan-out line to electrically connect the first pixel and the driver, wherein at least a portion of the fan-out line is on the display unit between the first pixel and the second pixel in a plan view.
