A fault diagnostic apparatus for a fuel cell electric vehicle and a method therefor are provided. The apparatus includes: a main relay connected to a fuel cell stack; a power converter connected to the main relay; a heater relay connected to the fuel cell stack and the main relay at one end and connected to a cathode oxygen depletion (COD) heater at the other end; and a fuel cell control unit (FCU) connected with the main relay, the power converter, and the heater relay. The FCU diagnoses a fault of the main relay based on an amount of change in stack voltage according to control to turn off and on the heater relay and a power of the power converter according to variable control of a voltage of the power converter, when the vehicle enters a shutdown sequence, and outputs the diagnosed result.

Fault diagnostic apparatus for a fuel cell electric vehicle and a method therefor

An apparatus for controlling driving of a fuel cell vehicle and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes a fuel cell stack that generates electricity using a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen and a pressure sensor that measures a pressure of hydrogen supplied to the fuel cell stack. A controller determines whether a current limit is caused by a failure of the fuel cell stack or a measurement error of the pressure sensor when the current limit occurs in the fuel cell stack.

The present invention provides a fuel cell vehicle, particularly a fuel cell vehicle equipped with a moisture remover that removes moisture from an air conditioner evaporator. The fuel cell vehicle includes: a fuel cell stack as a power supplier; an electric heater operated by power from the fuel cell stack; a blower fan for providing air to the electric heater; an air channel configured to supply the air passing through the electric heater to an air conditioner evaporator; and a controller for controlling the operations of the electric heater and the blower fan, whereby moisture is removed from the air conditioner evaporator by supplying air heated by the electric heater to the air conditioner evaporator. The fuel cell vehicle effectively removes moisture from an air conditioner evaporator, solves the problem of a bad smell in the related art, and further removes the oxygen and the stack voltage which remain in the cathode, such that it is possible to avoid cathode oxygen depletion of the related art.

The present invention provides an improved fuel efficiency measuring system for a fuel cell vehicle which simplifies various valves and hydrogen lines and modulizes its individual elements. More specifically, the present invention provides an improved fuel efficiency measuring system for a fuel cell vehicle that eliminates a purging hydrogen tank previously used for removing residual air in a hydrogen supply line and instead removes residual air in a hydrogen supply line by using a vehicle side hydrogen tank. Additionally, the present invention simplifies couplers installed in a hydrogen supply line, and considerably reduces manufacturing costs by eliminating a high-cost break-away coupler adapted to couple a fuel efficiency measuring unit and the vehicle side.

Fuel efficiency measuring system for fuel cell vehicle

A fuel efficiency measurement system includes a fuel supply tank for supplying hydrogen to be used as a fuel to a fuel cell of the vehicle during measurement of fuel efficiency and a precision electronic balance for detecting a weight of the fuel supply tank so as to perform the measurement of fuel efficiency based on a vehicle driving distance and a change in weight of the fuel supply tank measured by the electronic balance during measurement of fuel efficiency. According to the fuel efficiency measurement system, it is possible to more accurately calculate fuel efficiency without using hydrogen of a hydrogen tank installed in the vehicle.
