An image forming apparatus that is capable of preventing a damage to a fusing belt or hazardous conditions due to the overheating of the fusing belt and a fusing device thereof are disclosed. The image forming apparatus has a fusing device including a fusing belt, a heat source disposed in the fusing belt, a support member to support the fusing belt, the support member having an opening through which heat emitted from the heat source passes to at least a portion of the fusing belt, and a first temperature sensor positioned to measure temperature of the fusing belt at the portion directly heated by radiant heat transmitted through the opening. A control unit of the image forming apparatus controls the heat source based on the temperature measured by the first temperature sensor.

Image forming apparatus, fusing device thereof and method of controlling fusing device

A fusing device and an image forming apparatus having the same. The fusing device can include a fusing belt, a heat source disposed in an interior of the fusing belt, a supporting member to support at least a portion of an inner peripheral surface of the fusing belt, a press member mounted while opposing the fusing belt to form a fusing nip, and a nip forming part formed with an opening portion to enable heat emitted from the heat source to be transferred to the fusing belt at a position corresponding to the fusing nip. The nip forming part can have at least one gap maintaining part to prevent change of a gap of the opening portion. The nip forming part is provided at the supporting member or a nip forming member mounted between the heat source and the supporting member. Accordingly, a temperature of the fusing belt can rise quickly by directly heating the fusing belt, and deterioration of fusing performance due to deformation of the nip forming member can be prevented.

Lubricating apparatus of a scroll-type compressor comprising a thrust bearing surface provided on a main frame, the surface including a lubricating groove thereon, an orbiting scroll performing an orbital motion under the condition of slide contacting at a lower surface thereof with the thrust bearing surface, a crankshaft having an axial lubricating passage, and lubricating passage included in the orbiting scroll and communicating with the axial lubricating passage of the crankshaft. The lubricating passage comprises a horizontal passage being radially formed as outwardly extending from the inner center of the orbiting scroll and including a stop pin which is inserted into the outer end of the horizontal passage, and also a lower vertical passage being vertically formed as extending from the horizontal passage in order to communicate with the lubricating groove of the main frame. The lubricating apparatus of this invention has advantages in that it simplifies the construction of the compressor, reduces the manufacturing cost, and facilitates the assembling process of the compressor.
