An image sensing device includes a pixel array of a 4&#xd7;4 pixel unit including first to fourth sub-pixel arrays of 2&#xd7;2 pixels. The first and second sub-pixel arrays are arranged in a first diagonal direction, and the third and fourth sub-pixel arrays are arranged in a second diagonal direction intersecting the first diagonal direction. The first and second sub-pixel arrays have a first color pattern, and the third and fourth sub-pixel arrays have second and third color patterns, respectively, and each of the first to third color patterns includes two or more colors.

Image sensing device

An image sensing device includes an image sensor including a first sub-pixel array and a second sub-pixel array. The first sub-pixel array includes a plurality of first pixels having a first color filter, and the second sub-pixel array includes a plurality of second pixels having a second color filter and a plurality of third pixels for phase detection. The image sensor may generate first pixel values from the first pixels, second pixel values from the second pixels and third pixel values from the third pixels. The image sensing device also includes an image processor suitable for generating a first image value corresponding to the first sub-pixel array based on the first pixel values and generating a second image value corresponding to the second sub-pixel array based on the first to third pixel values.

An image sensor includes: a plurality of pixels arranged in two dimensions, wherein at least one pixel among the pixels includes: a photoelectric conversion layer formed in a substrate; a color filter layer formed over the photoelectric conversion layer; a first shading layer formed in the same plane as the color filter layer and defining a first light transmitting region; and a second shading layer formed between the photoelectric conversion layer and the first shading layer and defining a second light transmitting region.

An image sensor includes: a plurality of pixels that include a plurality of color detection pixels and a plurality of depth detection pixels, wherein the plurality of pixels are arranged in two dimensions; and a photoelectric conversion layer formed to correspond to the plurality of the pixels, wherein each of the plurality of the color detection pixels comprises: a first light condensing layer disposed over the photoelectric conversion layer; and a band pass filter layer interposed between the photoelectric conversion layer and the first light condensing layer, and wherein each of the plurality of the depth detection pixels comprises: a second light condensing layer disposed over the photoelectric conversion layer and having a greater size than a size of the first light condensing layer.

A dead pixel correction apparatus includes a storage unit suitable for storing position information of dead pixels obtained from pixel data, a data scanning section suitable for scanning the position information stored in the storage unit, a valid data determination section suitable for determining valid data with respect to the scanned position information, a valid data pre-processing section suitable for pre-processing the determined valid data, and a dead pixel correction section suitable for correcting pixel values corresponding to the dead pixels in current pixel data based on the pre-processed valid data, and outputting the corrected pixel data.

An image sensor includes: a photoelectric conversion layer; and a pixel lens, including a plurality of light condensing layers, formed over the photoelectric conversion layer, wherein upper layers of the plurality of light condensing layers have shorter widths than lower layers of the plurality of light condensing layers, wherein the light condensing layers of the pixel lens have their sidewalls of one side aligned with each other.
