A drive axle assembly capable of reducing drag torque by eliminating an inner bearing seal from a wheel bearing and capable of reducing the generation of frictional noise at corrugations of a boot. The drive axle assembly includes a wheel bearing assembled with a wheel housing, an outer ring having a ring shape and including an outer-diameter portion secured to an outer wheel of a wheel bearing, a boot including a large-diameter portion formed at one end thereof and assembled with an inner-diameter portion of the outer ring, and a bearing seal unit disposed between a small-diameter portion formed at the other end of the boot and a drive shaft to restrict rotation of the boot and to prevent introduction of foreign substances.

Drive axle assembly

A drive axle assembly includes a wheel bearing mounted to an axle housing, a shaft assembly including a first shaft on an inboard side thereof to which a driving force of a power train is transmitted, and a second shaft on an outboard side thereof which is shaft-connected to the inside of the axle housing by a constant-velocity joint and is separably assembled to the first shaft, and a boot assembly including a first end portion fixed to an external ring of the wheel bearing and a second end portion assembled to the shaft assembly to be rotatable relative to the shaft assembly, and configured to restrict rotation of the boot and prevent foreign substances from being introduced therein.

A hub built-in type drive axle includes one hub housing assuming a role of an external race of a constant velocity joint and a role of a wheel hub simultaneously, wherein the outboard constant velocity joint center is positioned within the full length of the hub housing, and a structure in which a bear housing and a boot assembly ring, including a boot, do not rotate whether the driveshaftrotates is maintained so that performance may be improved, durability may be enhanced, and noise may be minimized.

Hub built-in type drive axle

A hub-integrated-type constant-velocity joint device in which one hub housing () functions as both an outer race of a constant velocity joint and a wheel hub combining a disc () of a wheel and a knuckle (). In this configuration, a boot sealing portion () integrally formed at a boot' is inserted in a gap () between an inner race () and an outer race () of a bearing (), thereby functioning as an inner seal closing up the gap between the inner race () and the outer race ().

Hub-integrated-type constant-velocity joint device

A constant velocity joint for a vehicle. The constant velocity joint includes: an axle housing fixed to a knuckle by a hub bearing, and a joint assembly inserted into the axle housing to transmit power from a shaft to the axle housing through a plurality of joint balls. In particular, the axle housing includes an extension portion which is extended from an end portion of the axle housing in a radial direction of the axle housing, and the extension portion provides a pressing force to an inner race of the hub bearing in an axial direction of the axle housing. The constant velocity joint further includes a boot surrounding an outer side of the extension portion and coupled to the extension portion so as to form a restraining force between the extension portion and the boot in the axial direction.

Constant velocity joint for vehicle

A hub built-in type constant velocity apparatus includes a hub housing with a constant velocity joint coupled inwardly, an internal race coupled to an external circumferential surface of the hub housing, and a pre-load ring coupled to the external circumferential surface of the hub housing and located on a side of the internal race, wherein an end portion of the hub housing is formed to be rolled upwards toward the pre-load ring to form a forming portion coupled to the pre-load spring for applying pressure to the pre-load ring and the internal race.

Hub built-in type constant velocity apparatus

A hub built-in type constant velocity joint may include a plurality of wheel guide coupling portions to which wheel guides are configured to be coupled, and a hub housing which is formed between the wheel guide coupling portions and in which a discharge portion is formed to be stepped with each of the wheel guide coupling portions and configured to discharge foreign materials to the outside.

Hub built-in type constant velocity joint

An axle assembly for drive wheels of vehicles includes a steering knuckle, an axle housing coupled to an inside of the steering knuckle, a wheel disc that is fixed to the axle housing to be rotatable integrally with the axle housing, and a drive shaft that is coupled to the axle housing to be rotatable integrally with the axle housing. A hub bearing is disposed between the steering knuckle and the axle housing. A forming part is formed at an end of the axle housing in a state in which a bearing inner race of the hub bearing is coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the axle housing, and the bearing inner race is engaged with a side part of the axle housing by the forming part in a state in which the forming part is pressed against a side end of the bearing inner race.

Axle assembly for drive wheels of vehicles

A constant velocity joint assembly integrated with a wheel hub device may include an internal race coupled to an end portion of a driveshaft, a plurality of joint balls held in the internal race, and a hub housing accommodating and coupling the internal race holding the joint balls therein, with a bearing coupled to an external circumferential surface thereof, the hub housing provided as an external race of a constant velocity joint and the wheel hub device.
