A docking station and a control method thereof are provided. The docking station includes a first USB interface, a second USB interface, a video signal output terminal, a microcontroller, a first signal multiplexer, a second signal multiplexer, a video signal processor, and a video signal converter. The microcontroller determines whether the first USB interface or the second USB interface is connected to an electronic device. When the first USB interface is connected to the electronic device, the microcontroller sets the first USB interface as an uplink port. The uplink port receives a signal from the electronic device, and selects and outputs a video signal through the signal. The video signal processor is configured to receive and process the video signal. The video signal converter converts the video signal into a video output signal that is capable of being output to the video signal output terminal for playing.

Docking station and control method capable of automatically setting uplink port

A user permission management system and a method thereof are provided, which are suitable for assigning permission to one or more user devices. The system includes one or more docking stations and a management information device. Each user device is connected to the docking station. Each docking station is configured to transmit user identification information from the user devices to the management information device. The management information device is connected to the one or more docking stations and stores a user permission database. The management information device is configured to look up a user identity corresponding to the user identification information of the user device and permission of the user identity from the user permission database. The docking station assigns the permission to the user device to use network resources.

User permission management system and method

A docking station is provided. When a first electronic device is connected to a docking station, the first electronic device is connected to a first display device and a second display device through the docking station. However, when the first electronic device and a second electronic device are connected to the docking station, the docking station connects the first display device to the first electronic device, and connects the second display device to the second electronic device instead of the first electronic device.

Docking station

A docking station and an expansion method are provided. The docking station includes expansion slots, a detector module, an operational information module and a processor module. Two terminals of a connector are respectively inserted into the expansion slot and a connection port of the electronic device to electrically connect the docking station to the electronic device. The detector module is configured to detect a connection between the docking station and the electronic device to output a detecting signal. The operational information module is configured to obtain operational information of the electronic device connected to the docking station according to the detecting signal. The processor module is configured to obtain a main controlling signal corresponding to the operational information from a main control device, and determine resources available to the electronic device according to the main controlling signal.
