Provided are an apparatus for diagnosing a disease and a method for diagnosing same. The apparatus includes a pump for pumping respiratory gas, a first pre-treatment portion connected to the pump and removing moisture and bad breath in the respiratory gas, and a volatile organic compound detector connected between the first pre-treatment portion and the pump and detecting volatile organic compounds in the respiratory gas.

Apparatus and method for nano magnetic particle imaging

Disclosed herein are a method for modifying a magnetic field using magnetic nanoparticles and an apparatus therefor. The method for modifying a magnetic field includes applying current to a single solenoid coil or to two parallel solenoid coils, measuring a strength of a magnetic field generated by the current at a preset target location using a measurement sensor, and controlling the strength of the magnetic field based on a concentration of a magnetic nanoparticle sample mounted in the single solenoid coil or the two solenoid coils so that the strength of the magnetic field matches a preset target value.

Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for scanning a multilayer material using magnetism. The apparatus for scanning a multilayer material includes at least one measurement head for exciting a mixed magnetic field on a multilayer specimen using at least one excitation solenoid coil and detecting detection signals from the multilayer specimen using a detection solenoid coil, a movement controller for moving any one of the at least one measurement head and a stage on which the multilayer specimen is placed in order to detect detection signals for all parts of the multilayer specimen, and a signal controller for generating two excitation signals having different frequencies in order to generate the mixed magnetic field and for generating a scanning result for the multilayer specimen by collecting the detection signals.

Provided is a method for diagnosing Alzheimer/s disease using a decomposed biomaterial. The method includes: preparing magnetic particles on which primary capture antibodies specifically bound to beta-amyloid are adsorbed; decomposing a biomaterial including beta-amyloid; binding the beta-amyloid to the primary capture antibodies; binding secondary capture antibodies labeled with a fluorescent material to the magnetic particles bound to the beta-amyloid to form a complex; disposing the complex in a channel region of a photo field effect transistor in which a photocurrent is changed according to the amount of incident light; and measuring the photocurrent changed by light excited from the complex to quantify the concentration of the beta-amyloid existing in the biomaterial.
