A linear pump assembly includes a cylinder piston disposed in a generally tubular internal cylinder chamber defined within a cylinder housing having first and second ends, a first plunger-cylinder rod securely coupled to a first end of the cylinder piston and disposed in a first generally tubular internal plunger chamber defined within a first plunger housing in linear alignment with the cylinder housing, and a second plunger-cylinder rod securely coupled to a second end of the cylinder piston and disposed in a second generally tubular internal plunger chamber defined within a second plunger housing in linear alignment with the cylinder housing and the first plunger housing. First and second fluid ends are coupled to the first and second plunger housings respectively, the first and second fluid ends each housing a suction valve and a discharge valve.

Common plunger for a linear actuated pump

A fluid end for a reciprocating pump assembly includes a fluid end body defining an access opening having access opening threads formed on an inner surface thereof and extending between an inner threaded portion and an outer threaded portion. A blunt start is formed at the outer threaded portion of the access opening threads. The fluid end also includes a retainer nut having retainer nut threads formed on an outer surface of the retainer nut. To install the retainer nut in the fluid end, a first threaded portion of the retainer nut threads is configured to engage with the access opening threads before the second threaded portion. When the retainer nut is in a fully engaged position in the access opening, a second threaded portion of the retainer nut threads is offset from the blunt start of the access opening threads to define a circumferential offset distance therebetween.

A packing gland assembly may include a packing gland housing defining a bore extending from a front end to a rear end of the packing gland housing. The packing gland housing may include a flange having a front face, that defines the front end of the packing gland housing, and a rear face. The flange may define a plurality of apertures that extend from the front face of the flange to the rear face of the flange. The packing gland housing may include a mating neck extending from the flange to the rear end of the packing gland housing. The mating neck may define a stepped circumferential surface having one or more steps, and may define a circumferential groove.

The bearing supports are cast-in-place within the corresponding bearing support profiles of the frame and are configured to be in contact with an outer race of the corresponding bearings of the crankshaft assembly. Compared to the first material of the frame, the second material of the bearing supports is more effective at preventing slippage of the bearings.

An intermittent flushing plunger packing assembly is described herein. The packing assembly includes a plurality of annular seals disposed about the plunger configured to reciprocate along a linear axis within the fluid bore of the pump, and an annular packing nut disposed circumferentially about the plunger and configured to retain the plurality of annular seals and adjust a combined height of the plurality of annular seals. A selected one of the plurality of annular seals proximate to the fluid cylinder of the pump has a flushing fluid chamber in fluid communication with a flushing fluid port coupled to a first one-way check valve allowing a pressurized flushing fluid to be introduced and retained within the flushing fluid chamber and creating a fluid barrier to prevent frac fluid in the fluid cylinder from bypassing the annular seals.

A power end frame assembly for a reciprocating pump that includes a first and second end plate segment each including annular bearing support surfaces configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. At least one middle plate segment is disposed between the first and second end plate segments and includes an annular bearing support surface configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. The annular bearing support surfaces of the first and second end plate segments and the at least one middle plate segment each have a diameter and are coaxially aligned. The diameter of at least one of the first and second end plate segments is different from the diameter of the at least one middle plate segment to facilitate insertion and removal of the crankshaft bearing assembly from the power end frame assembly.

A bull gear is provided for a reciprocating pump. The bull gear includes a hub extending around an axis of rotation of the bull gear. The bull gear includes a rim having a plurality of helical gear teeth extending along a circumference of the rim. The rim extends a width along the axis of rotation from a first side portion to a second side portion that is opposite the first side portion. The bull gear includes a web connecting the hub to the rim. The web extends a radial length from the first side portion of the rim to the hub.

At least a portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the end plate segment feet and at least another portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the at least one foot of each middle plate segment.
