An agricultural machine system includes: a first mechanism; and an agricultural machine including a machine frame; a control system operatively coupled with the first mechanism and the agricultural machine frame, the control system including: a controller system operatively coupled with the first mechanism and the agricultural machine and configured for: learning from a prior harvesting episode; determining a first mechanism adjustment signal based at least in part on the prior harvesting episode; and outputting the first mechanism adjustment signal so as to adjust the first mechanism.

An agricultural baler towable by a vehicle that includes a frame and a baler hydraulic system. The baler hydraulic system includes a plurality of hydraulically operated subsystems, a plurality of hydraulic subsystem lines being fluidly connected to the plurality of hydraulically operated subsystems, and a hydraulic manifold fluidly connected to the plurality of hydraulic subsystem lines and configured for connecting to the vehicle hydraulic system. A pickup unit of an agricultural baler that includes a reel with a plurality of tines configured for lifting a crop material from a field, the reel is rotatable in an operating direction and a reverse direction, and a drive system configured for driving the reel. The drive system includes a gearbox configured for receiving motive power from a power take off (PTO) shaft, a drive shaft operably connected to the gearbox, and a first clutch connected to the drive shaft. The first clutch is configured for operably disconnecting motive power to the reel so that the reel is manually rotatable as the PTO shaft remains operably engaged with the gearbox.

A feeding assembly includes: a frame; a pickup assembly carried by the frame and including a pickup roll, a plurality of tines carried by the pickup roll, and a pair of end flares, each of the end flares being disposed adjacent to a respective lateral end of the pickup roll and configured to redirect crop material picked up by the tines as the pickup roll rotates; and a windguard assembly including a windguard roll coupled to the frame by a pair of arm assemblies. Each of the arm assemblies includes: a first arm pivotably coupled to the frame; a second arm coupled to the first arm and the windguard roll; and an arm connector coupling the first arm to the second arm such that the second arm is laterally offset relative to the first arm and is positioned laterally between a pair of vertical planes defined by the end flares.

A roll for an agricultural baler includes: a cylinder including an outer cylindrical surface and an interior space, the cylinder being at least partially formed by a first end segment and a second end segment held together, the first end segment and the second end segment each having a respective interior wall with a wall opening in the interior space; a connector placed in each wall opening and bearing against the respective interior walls of the first end segment and the second end segment to hold the first end segment and the second end segment together; and a plurality of loops extending from the outer cylindrical surface.

A shield to prevent crop material from wrapping around the shaft of a rotary conveyor of a harvester, such as a baler, includes a body. The body is positioned between a stripper finger and a shaft of the rotary conveyor and has an end surface facing the shaft. A lug is positioned at the opposite end of the body from the end surface and is attached to the housing of the rotary conveyor. The body has opposite side surfaces positioned in spaced relation at a distance substantially equal to the width of the separation fingers of the rotary conveyor.

A cutting assembly is described that comprises two oppositely facing sidewalls and two loading systems, each loading system comprising a transverse member that extends between and through the sidewalls, and two trays of knives. Rotation of a transverse member causes the associated tray of knives to move between a loaded and an unloaded position, wherein the loaded position the knives protrude into a crop collection channel of a harvester for the cutting of crop material.

Embodiments relate to a harvester assembly with a feeder assembly, a bottom floor assembly, and a crop collection channel positioned therebetween. The front and the rear portion of the bottom floor assembly are capable of independent, variable movement in order to facilitate the passage of crop material through the crop collection channel with a reduced risk of clogging or plugging of the channel. Some embodiments also relate to a agricultural harvester, such as a baler or combine, with the aforementioned bottom floor assembly capable of variable movement.

Crop stripper

Rotor strippers are sized and shaped to securely fit between adjacent rotor fingers on a rotor shaft of a rotor for stripping crop material and for conveying the crop material to a bale chamber for forming a bale. Each rotor stripper is formed of a segment comprised of two opposing side walls with an interior section extending between the two opposing side walls. A first end portion has a curved hook section shaped to securely fit around a majority portion of the rotary shaft for secure engagement therewith; a second end portion is secured to a backbone portion of the rotor allowing the segment to remain fixed with respect to rotation of the rotary shaft; and a middle portion extends between the first and second end portions in a curved manner.
