A computer-implemented method is provided that includes acquiring signals characterizing an operation condition of a first component of a first dynamic system, determining a phase space of the dynamic system by correlating the acquired signals and determining at least one of a time lag and mutual information of the correlated signals, determining features of the phase space of the acquired signals based on performing one of a density based process, an embedded dimension process, or a digital signal phase space topology process, training a fault detection model based on the determined features, and performing, based on the trained fault detection model, diagnostic testing on a second component of a second dynamic system to detect an operation condition fault of the second component.

Fault diagnostics systems and methods

A ventilator apparatus includes a linear electro-mechanical actuator that interfaces with a self-inflating bag including an inlet configured to receive air and an outlet configured to expend the air. A three-way valve is coupled to the outlet via a first flowmeter, an ambient environment via a second flowmeter, and a patient via an endotracheal tube. The first and/or second flowmeters are coupled to pressure transducer(s). A control unit is coupled to the linear electro-mechanical actuator and the first and second flowmeters and includes a control panel, memory including programmed instructions stored thereon, and processor(s) configured to execute the stored programmed instructions to set an inhalation time and an exhalation time. A current inspiratory pressure and a current tidal volume are obtained from the pressure transducer(s) and/or the first flowmeter. A stroke of the linear electro-mechanical actuator is then controlled to facilitate inspiratory and expiratory phases of a respiratory cycle.

Mechanical ventilator apparatuses and methods thereof

An embodied music system. The system creates an interactive interface between a listener and the external environment. The system includes a physical device located in the environment that provides sensory input to the listener. An audio signal of the system is adapted to be heard by the listener. An encoder embeds inaudible control data into the audio signal. A decoder extracts the control data from the audio signal and transmits the control data to the physical device, thereby controlling operation of the device. Finally, an audio reproduction device is connected to the decoder and plays the audio signal for the listener. The embodied music system allows the listener to experience multi-sensory compositions.
