The mobile terminal having a security function according to the present invention comprises: a case unit having a keypad for inputting data; a substrate unit, disposed inside the case unit, having a data input switch part operated by a keypad; and a tamper-resistant unit, disposed between a keypad and the data input switch part, having a tamper-proof conductive track part electrically connected to the substrate unit, wherein the tamper-proof unit includes a switch shielding part for shielding the data input switch part, and a connecting part for connection, connected to the switch shielding part and electrically connected to the substrate unit.

Mobile terminal having security function

Disclosed is a mobile terminal provided with a security function. The mobile terminal provided with the security function can include: a casing having a data input portion for inputting data, and an upper casing and a lower casing which can be assembled and disassembled; a circuit board for processing input data, which is electrically connected to the data input portion and is provided with a security unit that requires security; a tamper prevention conductive portion which is arranged between the casing and the circuit board and is electrically connected to the circuit board when the upper casing and the lower casing are assembled; and a control portion for denying access to data in the security unit based on a resistance value of the tamper prevention conductive portion. As a result, access to data in a secure region to which important data is saved is denied when the casing is forcibly opened, thereby effectively preventing important data from being leaked to the outside.

A mobile terminal includes a case capable of being assembled or disassembled, a printed circuit board (PCB) arranged in the case and having a tamper detection pattern, the tamper detection pattern having a plurality of conductive areas and at least one non-conductive area, a conductive area connection unit arranged between the case and the PCB and electrically connecting a part of the conductive areas during assembly of the case and electrically disconnecting the part of the conductive areas during disassembly of the case, and a conductive area connection detection circuit electrically connected to the conductive areas and detecting an electric connection state between the conductive areas. The conductive areas includes a first conductive area, a plurality of second conductive areas arranged to be separated from one another and connected to the first conductive area via the conductive area connection unit, and a third conductive area, at least a part of which is arranged between the second conductive areas.

Disclosed is a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal according to the present inventive concept, comprises: a case; a printed circuit board (PCB), which is arranged inside of the case, and on the surface of which is a temper detect pattern comprising first and second contact-type conductive patterns that are arranged adjacent to each other and a non-contact-type conductive pattern that is arranged apart from the first and second contact-type conductive patterns are provided; a detection circuit, which is electrically connected to the tamper detect pattern, for detecting whether the tamper detection pattern is conductive; and a pattern conduction module for controlling so that the first and second contact-type conductive patterns are conductive when the case is assembled, and the conduction of the first and second contact-type conductive patterns is released when the case is disassembled.

One controller for a power supply includes an oscillator, a first circuit, a counter, and a pause circuit. The first circuit generates a drive signal to control switching of a switch to regulate an output of the power supply. The first circuit initiates an on time period of the switch in response to both a clock signal of the oscillator and an enable signal that is generated in response to a feedback signal of the power supply. The counter receives the enable signal and generates an output signal when the counter reaches a count value indicating that the enable signal has been idle for an amount of time. The pause circuit generates a pause signal in response to the output signal of the counter. The oscillator is paused in response to the pause signal and a maximum on time period of the switch is extended while the oscillator is paused.

Method and apparatus for increasing the power capability of a power supply

A power converter control method and apparatus is disclosed. An example control circuit includes a clock signal generator coupled to generate a clock signal to control switching of a power switch to be coupled to the control circuit. A feedback circuit is coupled to receive a feedback signal which is representative of an output of a power converter during a duration of a feedback portion of an off time of the power switch. The feedback circuit is coupled to respond to the feedback signal to control the clock signal generator to regulate a ratio of the duration of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch divided by a duration of a total power switch switching cycle period.

Method and apparatus for regulating a diode conduction duty cycle

One example controller for a power supply includes an oscillator, a drive signal generator, and a restart circuit. The oscillator generates a clock signal and the drive signal generator controls switching of a switch to regulate an output of the power supply in response to the clock signal. The restart circuit generates a restart signal in response to a current through the switch and in response to an absolute maximum on time period. The oscillator generates the clock signal to have a fixed maximum frequency in response to the restart signal indicating that the current through the switch reaches a current limit threshold within the absolute maximum on time period. The oscillator also generates the clock signal to have a variable minimum frequency in response to the restart signal indicating that the current through the switch has not reached the current limit threshold within the maximum on time period.

A discontinuous mode flyback converter for limiting output current using primary feedback is disclosed. A transformer stores magnetic energy using field current and transfers the magnetic energy using a primary winding and a secondary winding closely coupled to the primary winding. A switching element is coupled to one end of the primary winding of the transformer and controls the current of the primary winding of the transformer. A control unit controls the switching element. A voltage error feedback unit feeds back the error of the output voltage of the transformer to the control unit, thereby regulating the output voltage. An output current feedback circuit detects the flyback period of the transformer, detects the output current information of the transformer from the rate of a flyback period in a cycle, and feeds it back to the control unit, thereby limiting the output current of the transformer.

Techniques are disclosed to extend an on time period of switch to regulate a transfer of energy from an input of a power supply to an output of a power supply. One example integrated circuit includes an energy transfer element coupled between an input and an output of the power supply. A switch is coupled to the input of the energy transfer element. A controller is coupled to the switch to control switching of the switch to regulate a transfer of energy from the input of the power supply to the output of the power supply in response to a feedback signal received from the output of the power supply. The controller is coupled to limit a maximum on time period of the switch a first maximum on time period in response to a first range of power supply operating conditions and to a second maximum on time period for a second range of power supply operating conditions.

A power converter is disclosed. An example power converter includes an energy transfer element coupled between a power converter input and a power converter output. A power switch is coupled to the energy transfer element. A control circuit is coupled to receive a feedback signal representative of the power converter output during a feedback portion of an off time of the power switch. The control circuit is coupled to generate an output signal in response to the feedback signal. The output signal is coupled to be received by the power switch to control switching of the power switch to control a fraction of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch that the feedback signal is above a threshold and another fraction of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch that the feedback signal is below the threshold.

Method and apparatus for a high voltage power supply circuit

An example power converter includes a clock signal generator coupled to generate a clock signal to control switching of a power switch to be coupled to the control circuit. Feedback circuitry is coupled to receive a feedback signal, which is representative of an output of a power converter during a feedback portion of an off time of the power switch. The feedback circuitry is coupled to respond to the feedback signal to control the clock signal generator to regulate a duty cycle of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch as a proportion of a total power switch switching cycle period.

The present invention relates to an error information detection circuit and an error feedback circuit, which detect the error of an output voltage from a voltage induced to a winding. The circuit for detecting error information of an output voltage of a transformer from voltage induced to the feedback winding of the transformer and feeding back the error information includes a flyback period detection circuit () for detecting a flyback period from a voltage induced to the feedback winding. A comparison unit () compares the induced voltage of the feedback winding with a reference voltage and outputs a result of comparison. A logic unit () outputs error information of an output voltage of the transformer according to a flyback period detection output of the flyback period detection circuit and the output of the comparison unit. An up/down control unit () outputs a feedback value corresponding to the error information.

A control circuit for use in a power supply is disclosed. An example control circuit according to aspects of the present invention includes a signal generator coupled to generate an output signal to control switching of a power switch to be coupled to the control circuit. A feedback circuit is coupled to receive a feedback signal, which is representative of an output of the power supply during a feedback portion of an off time of the power switch. The signal generator generates the output signal in response to the feedback circuit to control a fraction of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch that the feedback signal is above a threshold and another fraction of the feedback portion of the off time of the power switch that the feedback signal is below the threshold.

Techniques are disclosed to regulate an output current through a load coupled to a power converter using a current source coupled to the load. For instance, one power converter according to the teachings of the present invention includes an energy transfer element coupled between an input of the power converter and an output of the power converter. A power converter controller is coupled to the energy transfer element to control a transfer of energy from the input of the power converter to the output of the power converter. A load is to be coupled to the output of the power converter. A current source is to be coupled to the load. The current source regulates the current flowing through the load to a threshold current value. The current source is coupled to sense a current through the load. A switch having a first and second end is also included. The first end is to be coupled to the load and the second end is coupled to the current source. The switch is coupled to be switched on and off at a duty cycle to control an average current through the load. The current through the load is substantially equal to a current through the switch and the current source.

Method and apparatus for regulating an output current from a power converter

Apparatus for reducing electrical earth displacement current flow generated by wound components is disclosed. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a plurality of layers of an input winding wound around an energy transfer element core. An outer layer of the plurality of layers of the input winding is wound with a number of turns different than the number of turns in substantially each of the inner layers of the plurality of layers of the input winding. An output winding is wound around the energy transfer element core with substantially the same number of turns as the number of turns of the outer layer of the plurality of layers of the input winding to reduce substantially a capacitive displacement current flowing between the input and output windings.
