The apparatus, comprising a plurality of RF units, a plurality of SIM card interfaces, at least one processing unit, at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium and at least on input/output module, is able to continue sending and receiving data through one or more wireless networks using a plurality of RF units. Further, when more bandwidth and/or higher reliability is required, the apparatus aggregates data connections established with different wireless networks.

The present invention discloses a method for processing messages at a network node, wherein the network node does not any hardware components for displaying messages. The network node first receives a message and determines whether the message matches any predefined pattern by performing a lookup on the first configuration database. If the message matches any predefined pattern, the network node processes the message. Alternatively, when the message does not match any predefined pattern, the network node does not process the message.

The present invention discloses methods and systems for configuring a Radio Frequency (RF) module by a wireless communication apparatus. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) is retrieved from a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, and a configuration information is identified according to the IMSI. The configuration information is then sent to the RF module, and the RF module is configured with the configuration information. The RF module may be housed in the wireless communication apparatus or in an external device, where the wireless communication apparatus is capable of connecting to the external device. The SIM card can be placed in the wireless communication apparatus or in the external device. In one variant, the configuration information is sent to the RF module only when the current configuration of the RF module needs to be changed.

Methods and systems for configuring radio frequency module

Methods and devices to wirelessly connect to at least one base station at a multi-SIM device. The multi-SIM device comprises a plurality of SIM card interfaces and a plurality of RF units. The multi-SIM device first scans for base stations using as first RF unit, then observes the received signal quality using the first RF unit. The multi-SIM device may then transmit the data packets based in part on the received signal quality through at least one of the plurality of RF units.
