A seamless application integration apparatus and method are provided. The seamless application integration apparatus includes a seamless integration server that is installed in a host virtual machine so as to provide a seamless application integration (SAI) environment in a virtualization system that comprises the host virtual machine and at least one guest virtual machine. The apparatus also includes a dynamic reconfiguration unit determines whether a seamless integration client that corresponds to the seamless integration server has been installed in the guest virtual machine, and that may install the seamless integration client in the guest virtual machine according to the determination result.

Seamless application integration apparatus and method

An apparatus for dynamically controlling a preemption section includes a preemption manager configured to monitor whether a system context has changed, and if the system context has changed, set a current preemptive mode according to the changed system context to dynamically control a preemption section of a kernel. Therefore, even when an application requiring real-time processing, such as a health-care application, co-exists with a normal application, optimal performance may be ensured.

Provided is a method of controlling memory access. In a system including a first layer element executed in a privileged mode having a first priority of permission to access the entire region of a memory and second and third layer elements executed in an unprivileged mode having a second priority of permission to access a partial region of the memory, the method of controlling memory access determines whether the memory is accessible for each page that is an address space unit, based on which mode a layer element currently accessing the memory is executed in between the privileged mode and the unprivileged mode; and determines whether the memory is accessible based on which one of the first, second and third layer elements corresponds to a domain currently being attempted to be accessed from among a plurality of domains of the memory. Accordingly, a memory domain allocated to a guest operating system kernel is effectively protected from an application executed in the unprivileged mode in which the guest operating system kernel is executed.

Method of controlling memory access

Provided are a booting apparatus and method using a snapshot image. A snapshot image may be divided into a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks may be stored in a nonvolatile memory in a compressed or non-compressed format. The snapshot image may be incrementally loaded in units of the blocks during booting. The loading and decompression of the blocks may be performed in parallel.
