A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pad electrodes, a driving member attached to the display panel and including a plurality of bumps facing the plurality of pad electrodes, respectively, a plurality of conductive particles interposed between the display panel and the driving member, and a plurality of alignment electrodes separated from the plurality of pad electrodes and the plurality of bumps, where an opening is defined in at least one of a pad electrode of the plurality of pad electrodes and a bump of the plurality of bumps includes an opening, and an alignment electrode of the plurality of alignment electrodes is disposed in the opening.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

The present application relates to a display device and a method of providing the same. A display device includes a display panel which is bendable, the display panel including a bending area and a pad area which is adjacent to the bending area, and a lower layer extending along the pad area of the display panel. The lower layer includes a lower film layer defining an opening at the pad area, the opening exposing a portion of the pad area to outside the lower film layer, and a step compensation member which is in the opening of the lower film layer and on the portion of the pad area which is exposed to outside the lower film layer.

Pad area of display device having opening and component therein and method of providing the same

A display device includes: a first conductive layer including a signal line, which includes a pad contact part and a line part having a smaller width than the pad contact part along a first direction and extending from the pad contact part in a second direction that intersects the first direction, and a first non-contact pattern, which is spaced apart from the pad contact part, on a first side along the first direction; an insulating layer on the first conductive layer and including a contact hole that partially exposes the first conductive layer; and a second conductive layer on the insulating layer and including a first pad electrode, which is electrically connected to the first conductive layer through the contact hole, wherein the first pad electrode overlaps with the pad contact part and the first non-contact pattern.

Display device

A display device includes a substrate; pad electrodes disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from one another; a driving member including bumps, which overlap the pad electrodes in a thickness direction of the substrate and are spaced apart from one another; conductive members disposed between the pad electrodes and the bumps to electrically connect the pad electrodes and the bumps; and non-conductive members disposed adjacent to the pad electrodes, the bumps, and the conductive members, wherein the conductive members and the non-conductive members include different materials, each of the conductive members includes a first side surface that faces a corresponding one of the non-conductive members, each of the non-conductive members include a second side surface that faces a corresponding one of the conductive members, and a part of the first side surface and a part of the second side surface directly contact one another.

A display device includes a substrate including an active area having pixels and a non-active area including a pad region. A pad electrode is disposed in the pad region and includes a first pad electrode and a second pad electrode disposed on the first pad electrode. A first insulating pattern is interposed between the first and second pad electrodes. In a plan view, the first insulating pattern is positioned inside the first pad electrode, and a portion of the second pad electrode overlapping the first insulating pattern protrudes further from the substrate in a thickness direction than a portion of the second pad electrode not overlapping the first insulating pattern. The second pad electrode directly contacts a portion of the upper surface of the first pad electrode. In a plan view, an area of the second pad electrode is greater than an area of the first pad electrode.

Pad area of display device having step compensation member and method of providing the same

A pixel includes a first electrode and a second electrode spaced from each other in a first direction on a substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements between the first electrode and the second electrode; an intermediate pattern located between the first electrode and the second electrode in the first direction and located between the substrate and the plurality of light emitting elements in a thickness direction of the substrate; a first contact electrode electrically connecting one end portion of each of the light emitting elements and the first electrode; and a second contact electrode electrically connecting an other end portion of each of the light emitting elements and the second electrode.

Pixel and display device including the same

The present invention relates to a display device. Specifically, a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes pixels and a data driver, wherein each of the pixels includes a first light-emitting diode aligned in a first direction; a first pixel circuit for driving the first light-emitting diode; a second light-emitting diode aligned in a second direction; and a second pixel circuit for driving the second light-emitting diode, and wherein the data driver supplies a first data signal to the first pixel circuit, and supplies a second data signal to the second pixel circuit during one frame period.

An optical film is provided. The optical film includes a base film and a cover film. The base film includes a base member and a plurality of lens patterns disposed on the base member. The plurality of lens patterns protrudes from the base member and extends in a first direction. The cover film is disposed on the base film to cover the base member and the plurality of lens patterns. A refractive index of at least one of the lens patterns is smaller than a refractive index of the cover film. An aspect ratio of the at least one of the lens patterns ranges from 0.8 to 1.6.

Optical film and a liquid crystal display including the same

Provided are a backlight assembly and a display device having the same. A backlight assembly includes a light source unit which emits light, a light guide plate (LGP) including an incident surface upon which light emitted from the light source unit is incident, an opposite surface which faces the incident surface, and an exit surface which connects the incident surface and the opposite surface and from which light incident upon the incident surface exits, a wavelength conversion member which is located on the exit surface and converts a wavelength of light output from the exit surface, and a first reflective member which is located on the opposite surface and reflects light incident upon the opposite surface, wherein the first reflective member includes a plurality of first color patterns which face the opposite surface.

Backlight assembly and display device having the same

A backlight device for use in a display device includes a light source device and a light diffusion member. The light source device includes a plurality of light sources. The light diffusion member includes a light transmission body and reflectors. The light transmission body includes a light receiving surface facing a first one of the light sources for receiving the light emitted from the first light source and a light output surface facing away from the light receiving surface for outputting the light transmitted through the light transmission body. The reflectors are attached to the light transmission body and include first and second reflection surfaces oriented such that the light received from the first light source through the light receiving surface is reflected by the first and second reflection surfaces while the light passes through the light transmission body toward the light output surface.

Backlight unit and display device including the same

A display device includes a bottom chassis on which a light source is disposed, a light guide plate disposed on the bottom chassis and configured to guide light emitted from the light source to a display panel, an optical sheet on the light guide plate, a mold frame coupled to the bottom chassis and including a support unit on which the display panel is disposed, and a light conversion shielding member disposed on a surface of the support unit of the mold frame having a side portion that extends down from the support unit and covers a side surface of the optical sheet.

An image sensor includes a photoelectric conversion element in a substrate, a first storage region spaced apart from the photoelectric conversion element in the substrate, a gate on the first storage region, a light shielding layer covering the gate, a dielectric layer disposed between the gate and the light shielding layer and extending onto a top surface of the substrate, an interlayer insulating structure covering the light shielding layer, and a micro-lens overlapping with the photoelectric conversion element on the interlayer insulating structure. The light shielding layer includes a first portion covering a sidewall of the gate, and a second portion on a top surface of the gate. The first portion has a first thickness corresponding to a vertical height from a bottom surface of the first portion to a top surface of the first portion, and the first thickness is greater than a second thickness of the second portion.

Image sensors and methods of fabricating the same

A method of fabricating an image sensor may include providing a substrate including light-receiving and non-light-receiving regions; forming a plurality of gates on the non-light-receiving region; ion-implanting a first-conductivity-type dopant into the light-receiving region to form a first dopant region of a pinned photodiode; primarily ion-implanting a second-conductivity-type dopant, different from the first-conductivity-type dopant, into an entire surface of the substrate, using the gates as a first mask; forming spacers on both side walls of the gates; and secondarily ion-implanting the second-conductivity-type dopant into the entire surface of the substrate, using the plurality of gates including the spacers as a second mask, to complete a second dopant region of the pinned photodiode. An image sensor may include the substrate; a transfer gate formed on the non-light-receiving region; a first dopant region in the light-receiving region; and a second dopant region formed on a surface of the light-receiving region.

Image sensors with lightly doped drain (LDD) to reduce dark current

Example embodiments disclose an image sensor capable of preventing or reducing image lag and a method of manufacturing the same. Example methods may include forming a gate insulating film and a gate conductive film doped with a first-conductive-type dopant on a semiconductor substrate; forming a transfer gate pattern by patterning the gate insulating film and the gate conductive film; and fabricating a transfer gate electrode by forming a first-conductive-type photodiode in the semiconductor substrate adjacent to one region of the transfer gate pattern, by forming a second-conductive-type photodiode on the first-conductive-type photodiode, and by forming a first-conductive-type floating diffusion region in the semiconductor substrate adjacent to the other region of the transfer gate pattern.
