Provided are a system and method for automatically recreating personal media through fusion of multimodal features. The system includes a multimodal fusion analyzer configured to analyze semantics of personal media having various forms based on a plurality of modalities and divide the personal media into media fragments which are the smallest units having semantics, a semantic-based intelligent retriever configured to store and retrieve the divided media fragments by considering the semantics, a personal media recommender configured to learn and analyze a profile of a user through modeling the user, and select and recommend a plurality of media fragments wanted by the user among the media fragments retrieved by the semantic-based intelligent retriever, and a personal media creator configured to create new personal media using the plurality of media fragments recommended by the personal media recommender according to a scenario input by the user.

In a lookup service system in a JINI-based home network supporting both IEEE1394 and TCP/IP, a service provider proxy DB stores proxy information of TCP/IP-based and IEEE1394-based service providers registered for a lookup service (LUS). A stream link channel handler (SLCH) performs a channeling of data transmitted/received between IEEE1394-based and TCP/IP network-based devices. An IEEE1394 event manager included in an event manager of the LUS dynamically reconfigures IEEE1394-based service information and manages changes of an IEEE1394 network state. An IEEE1394 bus manager receives IEEE1394 network events redefined by an IEEE1394 event manager and maintains and updates an IEEE1394 network topology and a GUID map.

Lookup service system in JINI-based home network supporting IEEE1394 and TCP/IP

Provided is a bridge system of a high-speed PLC network and Ethernet. The bridge system includes a QoS control unit for controlling a QoS process of an entire bridge system; a flow managing unit for storing and managing connection information on a flow, QoS information required by each flow, and information required for executing a bridge function; a bridge QoS processing unit for allocating and managing internal resources of the bridge system and providing the QoS by controlling the QoS control unit and making reference to information stored in the flow managing; a PLC QoS processing unit for managing the QoS of the PLC network by control of the QoS control unit; and an Ethernet QoS processing unit for managing a link state of the Ethernet and providing the link state to the QoS control unit.

High speed PLC network-ethernet bridge system supporting QoS

A bridge for heterogeneous QoS networks is provided. The bridge comprises an UPnP QoS processing unit, a bridge function unit and at least two of network drive drivers. The UPnP QoS processing unit collects connection information connected through the networks and QoS requirement information thereof through an UPnP QoS structure. The bridge function unit establishes and releases connection by allocating resources based on the collected connection information and QoS requirement information, and performs a bridging operation according to connection information of a received frame. At least two of network device drivers are physically connected to the networks.

Bridge for heterogeneous QoS networks

Provided are an initial synchronization acquiring device and method in a parallel processed DS-CDMA UWB system and a DS-CDMA UWB system's receiver using the same. The initial synchronization acquiring device is constructed to include a correlator for correlating input signals and outputting correlation result values and an initial synchronizer for tuning initial symbol synchronization and frame synchronization by using the correlation result values received from the correlator and then storing combining mark values and a synchronization position value in a register, thereby making it possible to greatly decrease a system's complexity, compared to the existing method of separately designing respective modules for acquiring packet synchronization and symbol synchronization in the existing CDMA system. Also, the initial synchronization acquiring device and method additionally compensates a synchronization error caused by a frequency offset generated between clocks used by a transmitter and a receiver and thereby can be efficiently used in the high-speed and parallel-processed DS-CDMA UWB system.

A method for dynamically locating a wireless TCP proxy in a routing path in a wired/wireless integrated network is provided. A proxy for a mobile host transmits a proxy change request to a first higher-level proxy if a mobility of the mobile host is larger than a mobility threshold that is preset in the proxy. The first higher-level proxy determines whether the mobility of the mobile host is larger than a mobility threshold that is preset in the first higher-level proxy. The first higher-level proxy transmits a proxy change request packet to a second higher-level proxy if the mobility of the mobile host is larger than the mobility threshold of the first higher-level proxy. The second higher-level proxy selectively permits the proxy change if the mobility of the mobile host is smaller than the mobility threshold of the second higher-level proxy.

Method for dynamically locating a wireless TCP proxy in a wired/wireless integrated network

Disclosed are system and method of remotely controlling the home appliance by employing the voice/character recognition technique. The appliance detects a connection relationship between the appliance and the mobile terminal and dynamically transmits the control code and a module for transmission. If the appliance control command is inputted through the voice control command input screen or the handwriting control command input screen, after the inputted command is interpreted through the voice/character recognition technique and is transformed to the control code of the appliance to be sent to the home appliance, the control code is sent to the home appliance to remotely control it. The function thereof may be extended to the environment capable of implementing the bi-directional communication with the appliance by receiving the control code from the appliance, while overcoming the limitation of the conventional terminal having a fixed function. In addition, since it is easy to add or delete the control function, a plurality of appliances can be effectively controlled by use of one terminal.
