A rotary surgical assembly is disclosed. The assembly has a plurality of cutting teeth (), a hollow dome () and a spindle (). The hollow dome has a pole having a pole axis X, and a cutting surface featuring some of the cutting teeth. The cutting surface includes a curved part () and a substantially flat part () proximal the pole with an aperture () extending therethrough. The spindle has a proximal end () and a distal end () including a spindle mounting element (). The spindle mounting element is secured to the dome beneath the substantially flat part of the cutting surface. The spindle mounting element has a cutting tooth () that extends distally through the cutting surface's aperture to form one of the said plurality of cutting teeth. A kit, and methods of manufacturing the rotary surgical assembly are described also.

Rotary surgical instrument assembly

A trial liner system for use in hip arthroplasty. The liner system includes a first trial liner having a generally convex outer surface and a generally concave inner surface, the generally concave inner surface having a first locking mechanism. The liner also includes a second trial liner having a generally convex outer surface and a generally concave inner surface The generally convex outer surface includes a second locking mechanism adapted to lock with the first locking mechanism of the first trial liner when the second trial liner is inserted into the first trial liner.

Acetabular shell and liner system

An orthopedic surgical instrument including a polymer 4-in-1 femoral cutting block having a chamfer cutting slot defined therein, and a chamfer cutting guide assembly secured within the chamfer cutting slot. The chamfer cutting guide assembly includes a first planar surface, a second planar surface spaced apart from, and extending parallel to, the first planar surface, a third planar surface connected to the second planar surface and extending at an angle relative to the first planar surface and a fourth planar surface connected to the first planar surface and extending parallel to the third planar surface. The first planar surface and the second planar surface define a first metallic planar cutting guide, and the third planar surface and the fourth planar surface define a second metallic planar cutting guide. The chamfer cutting guide assembly may include a pair of metallic bushings.
