In one example, a friction hinge includes a link connected to a slide slot of a first base with a movable shaft and connected to a base friction mechanism of a second base with a link friction mechanism, where the link includes a joint positioned between the movable shaft and the link friction mechanism. Examples disclosed herein provide a computing device. One example computing device includes a base member, a support member rotatably connected to the base member at a first end of the support member, via a fixed shaft around a first axis of rotation, and a display member rotatably connected at a second end of the support member opposite the first end, around a second axis of rotation that is parallel to the first axis of rotation. The computing device includes a linking mechanism disposed within the support member.

Examples disclosed herein provide a computing device. One example computing device includes a base member, a support member connected to the base member via a shaft at a first end of the support member, and a display member connected at a second end of the support member opposite the first end. The computing device includes magnetic members disposed within the display member, wherein the magnetic members disposed within the display member is to magnetically couple with magnetic members disposed within the support member to operate the computing device in a first operation mode or a second operation mode. The computing device includes a mechanism disposed within the support member and connected to the base member via the shaft. The mechanism includes a feature to overcome the magnetic coupling between the magnetic members when the computing device is to change between the first and second operation modes.

Examples disclosed herein relate to an alternating current (AC) adapter. In one example, an AC adapter includes an adapter head with an arm extending from a first side of a surface of the adapter head towards a centerline of the first surface of the adapter head to secure a cable to the first surface of the adapter head. A housing body is coupled to the adapter head. The arm is deformable to be biased towards a first position to secure the cable between the arm and the first surface of the adapter head and flexed to a second position to allow an operator to insert the cable between the arm and the first surface of the adapter head.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a dual-part hinge assembly for a portable electronic device. According to one embodiment, the portable computing device includes a display and a base housing connected via the dual-part hinge assembly. Furthermore, the dual-part hinge assembly comprises a first portion and a second portion that extends behind the first portion when the display transitions to an open position so as to provide stability for the computing device.

One example computing device includes a base member, a support member rotatably connected to the base member at a first end of the support member, a display member rotatably connected at a second end of the support member opposite the first end, and a latch mechanism disposed along a back side of the base member.
