Anti-rotation assemblies for use with fluid valves are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a retainer collar coupled at an end of a plug, the plug including a plug collar around which the retainer collar is disposed, the plug and the retainer collar being substantially flush at an interface between the plug and the retainer collar, a fastener extending transversely through the retainer collar and the plug collar to couple the retainer collar at the end of the plug, when the retainer collar and the plug are disposed within a valve body, a stem extends through the retainer collar and the plug to enable the plug to be moved within the valve body; and an anti-rotation collar to receive the retainer collar, the anti-rotation collar coupled at an end of a cage, the anti-rotation collar and the retainer collar having corresponding non-circular cross-sections to inhibit rotation of the retainer collar and the plug when the plug is moved within the valve body.

Anti-rotation assemblies for use with fluid valves

An example apparatus includes a valve body defining a fluid flow passageway between an inlet and an outlet, a cage disposed in the fluid flow passageway, a plug disposed in the cage, a retainer collar coupled at an end of the plug, where an exterior surface of the retainer collar includes a first engagement surface having a first non-circular cross-section, and an anti-rotation collar coupled at an end of the cage, where the anti-rotation collar has a second engagement surface defining an aperture to receive the retainer collar, where the aperture has a second non-circular cross-section, where the engagement surfaces interact to inhibit rotation of the retainer collar and the plug.

Anti-rotational assemblies for use with fluid valves are disclosed herein. An example anti-rotation assembly includes an anti-rotation retainer to couple to a flow control member of a valve and an anti-rotator to engage the anti-rotation retainer. The anti-rotator prevents rotation of the anti-rotation retainer relative to a longitudinal axis of the anti-rotation retainer when the anti-rotation retainer is disposed in the valve.

A valve body includes a first opening, a second opening, a gallery, a first flow conduit portion, a second flow conduit portion, and an upper flow diverter. The gallery is disposed between the first and second openings. The first flow conduit portion extends between the first opening and a side opening of the gallery. The second flow conduit portion extends between the second opening and a bottom opening of the gallery. The upper flow diverter is carried by an upper wall portion of the first flow conduit portion and extends into the first flow conduit portion. In one version, the upper flow diverter includes an elongated structure extending at least partially between the first opening and the gallery for diverting the fluid flowing through the first flow conduit portion and into the gallery.

A control valve pressure actuator of the pressure-to-close type is provided with a housing in which an upper diaphragm casing thereof includes one or more air passage channels. Each of the air passage channels facilitates circulation of air above a diaphragm within the pressure actuator at all times, including when the diaphragm is in a fully open position. By permitting the circulation of air above the diaphragm even when in a fully open position, adjacent an inside surface of the top of the upper diaphragm casing, there is not a tendency for the diaphragm, biased toward the open position by springs, to stick to the inside surface of the top of the upper diaphragm casing.
