A vehicular signal assembly that includes an inner chamber defined by a substrate comprising LED light sources and spaced apart, corresponding Fresnel lenses; and an outer chamber defined by the Fresnel lenses and an outer lens comprising optical elements. The outer lens can have a width of at least 12 mm. Further, each LED source emanates incident light directly through the chambers to produce a light pattern with a contrast ratio of 3:1 or less, e.g., a daytime running light pattern. Each LED source can also emanate incident light directly through the corresponding Fresnel lens an outer lens to produce the daytime running light pattern.

A pickup truck bed lighting system for mounting on a bed rail of a cargo bed side wall. The system including a scuff plate having a plurality of downward extending retention clips engaging holes in the bed rail to secure the scuff plate on top of the bed rail; and a lighting assembly including an electrical cable supported by the retention clips and a plurality of lamps mounted to the cable, the lamps spaced along the cable adjacent to the retention clips and aligning with the holes in the bed rail.

Pickup truck bed lighting system

A supplemental vehicle lighting system that is responsive to a trailer backup assist system is provided. The system includes a rear vehicle fixture defining a keylock hole customarily used in conjunction with a corresponding keylock cylinder. A light assembly is provided in the place of a keylock cylinder and operably coupled to the keylock hole. The light assembly includes a housing having a barrel that is concentrically aligned with the keylock hole and includes a distal end and a proximal end. A lighting device is disposed inside the housing and operable to emit light through the barrel beginning from the proximal end. A lens is coupled to the distal end of the barrel and is disposed to at least partially coincide with the keylock hole, wherein the lens is configured to disperse light emitted from the lighting device to illuminate a rear vehicle area.

Supplemental vehicle lighting system for vision based target detection

A camera assembly includes a light assembly lens having a camera aperture and a seal ring received and held in the camera aperture. In addition, the camera assembly includes a camera having an outer housing projecting into the seal ring and a seal between the seal ring and the outer housing.

An LED unit for a vehicle lamp assembly. The LED unit is comprised of a housing, one or more LEDs, a light pipe, and an optic structure. The housing contains the LEDs and has the light pipe extending therefrom. The light pipe is sized sufficiently narrow for extending through a hole formed in a base portion of the vehicle lamp assembly. The light pipe is attached to an optic structure. The vehicle lamp assembly transmits light in a unilateral direction distal to the housing through the light pipe and the optic structure. The optic structure scatters light in a series of directions distal to the housing.
